Synrad CO2 Laser RF AM Modulator Driver Control Board Assembly Ham Radio CB 150W
This is a very well made AM modulator for a 10-15W synrad laser tube. It is good to 20KHz. It uses a power FET to rapidly modulate the PA of the synrad laser. The hook up is extremely simple. Fuse V+28 to +32V(A bit higher to 38V is fine, but lower than 28V is NOT OK! Bare wire 0V, Center pin of FET is modulation output. It enables output of PA on 5V input to white coax cable. A small 9K NTC thermistor goes across the pins as marked. Really nice item for fixing up an over voltage killed synrad laser, especially one where someone accidentally hooked 30V to the control. or amature radio operator, the pictures speak for themselves! Wavelength Electronics LDD200-2M Laser Diode Driver Up for auction is a used Wavelength Electronics LDD200-2M Laser Diode Driver. The module was removed from operational equipment and re-tested on the bench. The module runs on 5-12VDC supply voltage and has an output current rating of up to 200MA. The glue on the side of the module. Visible in the picture, is where a thermocouple was mounted to monitor the temperature of the module. The TC was not a factory supplied option and was removed leaving the glue behind. The module was originally mounted to a circuit board and the pins trimmed. This is a very well made linear amplifier for a 10-15W synrad laser tube. It is good from 25-65MHz. In as tuned condition it is set for optimal amplification at roughly 45MHz at 50 ohms impedance as it is. The hook up is extremely simple. Red V+28 to +32V(A bit higher to 38V is fine, but lower than 28V is NOT OK! Bare wire 0V, Orange wire AM modulation(28-32V+) Output is through the capacitor tied to the gold thing. Really nice item for fixing up an under voltage killed synrad laser, or amature radio operator, the pictures speak for themselves! This is a nice RF goody! Panasonic AOM Yag Laser Beam Modulator Q-switch RF Driver TTL 200MHz 5x
LOT OF 5 UNITS! These are easy to use RF driver modules for AOM and q-switches that run at up to 2W of RF at 200MHz. It requires 24V and 5V to turn on. Recommended load is genaric 50 ohm instrumentation coax to AOM crystal. Power output can be adjusted to up to 2W and frequency can be fine tuned by up to 20% off center. This can be used with almost all fiber based AOM units including q-switches. As well as most smaller AOM crystals with the SMA type connector. ALP-6323CA Advanced Laser Diode Driver with Red LD Module
This is a red laser diode and associated driver that I removed from a film scanner. It is in working condition. And while I've been unable to locate almost any documentation on either component, the labels on the driver module make it quite usable. I'm including a cable that connects to the basic signals(power, enable, etc) that I removed so it didn't clutter the photos. The one bit of information I was able to find was basically a highly compressed Japanese brochure scan that I can't translate. However. I have interpreted the following: +/5V supply( please note: bipolar supply) 300mA drive capability* Supports all laser diode polarities* 1 microsecond rise and fall time* Can be modulated up to 100kHz* Supports pulse and analog modulation modes* Supports normal ACC(Auto Current Control) basic constant current drive and APC(Auto ... morePower Control) constant power output using phototdiode feedback with a 10us response time So all in all a very full featured unit. I've powered it on to verify functionality. But haven't really gotten into experimenting with the more advanced features. The included diode module is a total unknown to me. Unfortunately. Well, it's red, I know that; The driver is set up for APC mode and the LD has 3 wires, so I will suppose the LD module includes a feedback photodiode. The diode itself is mounted to an optical block, which is in turn mounted to a piece of anodized aluminum with a mirror. Anyways. It's included so all you need is a +/ 5V supply(old ATX computer PSUs include a-5V rail) and you have a working high quality laser diode setup. This is a rare offering of a stand alone pockels cell q-switch driver. It is adjustable from 0-10khz. And has a pulse width of about 4nS. The internal electronics are a high gain avalanche transistor array. If you have a lithium niobate crystal q-switch and found it hard to operate it reliably, this item will solve your problem. Lightwave Electronics Laser Diode with Driver and Power
Up for sale is a used Lightwave Electronics Laser(I'm assuming because I didn't open it up to look and it's still sealed) With driver and power supply. The tricky thing about this is that the key was broken off inside of the key slot and it's set to off. It was like this when I got it. Except set to Standby and headed in the off direction(it was like midway between) so when I got the tweezers to try and pinch it out it slid its way to off. Now. Before that, I had to rerun the wiring to the power supply because in the key breaking incident there also occurred a wire cutting one. I don't know how the freight shippers that delivered the original Quanta Ray unit to me(that this was pulled from) managed to do it, but I guess something came down right at that spot and snagged both. Anyways. So I resoldered, reconnected, secured ... moreand even put flex cable over the wire to get the unit back in the game. I plugged it in and got the Standby light, then it went to Off. I of course wasn't paying attention to the connections as I unplugged them. And so the buyer will need to figure out or do some trial and error to get them reconnected. They are all two pin female to male connections and I don't understand the circuit board enough to gamble on reconnecting it. So. With all of that being said, if there are issues with the unit you are welcome to return it for a refund.
