I have taken pride in collecting model horses for many years so I always tried to acquire the best of a particular model or type. This is bay pinto is a REALLY nice example of this. NO body rubs. Does have ear tip rubs and couple hoof edge rubs. And a really small tail tip rub. Has a nice semi-gloss finish on his white markings. He does have some factory overspray here or there. But most of that is around his white and dark points around his hocks and knees. He is in INCREDIBLE shape for his age. His legs are clean and straight and he stands without much issue. He is from the first run of the model because later models did not have the semi-gloss white markings. And excellent collector piece to complete that Action Stock Foal conga! Breyer 1992 Sears SR#491192. Dark bay/seal brown Roemer. This guy came in a set along with a chestnut John Henry and dapple grey Rugged Lark. I am only selling this model because honestly, I can't stand the mold. I was really disappointed in this mold and have just not been a fan of it since. So here he stands and this is a BEAUTIFUL model! I've never seen such a rich dark coloring and blending of shading as I have with this one. His ONLY flaw is a left ear tip rub. He may have the makings of another on the tip of his right but with his dark coloring he could EASILY be touched up. Other than that, I would consider him show quality! Stands wells, NO body rubs or any other flaws anywhere. If he had been done on any other mold I would have kept the model, but as I mentioned, I just can't stand this particular model. Breyer 1984 JCP SR Red Bay Action Stock Horse Foal. I have two of these for sale and this is the second one. This is a matte red bay with black points and a left hind sock. This version is not as rich but is still a VERY nice medium version where the black points fade into the red bay coloring of his body. He has two faint and small rubs on the left side. One on the shoulder and one on his rump. He also has a left ear tip and edge rub, two tail tip rubs and two hoof edge rubs on the right side hooves. There are some factory smaller than pinpoint black dots on his withers but he stands perfectly and his legs are clean and straight. Again his imperfections make him sound terrible, but he is really a super nice model and still highly collectible! Since I am a live show collector. Breyer#219 Regular Run Mahogany Bay Proud Arabian Foal. This is an older matte version due to the uneven white socks and extra shading. Semi-glossy black coloring and socks as well as her mane and tail and nose. This little lady is from my sister's collection that she is selling. I am selling her models for her. She's a matched foal to the Proud Arabian Mare in an early auction. They were bought at the same time. She like the mare had the original owner's initial written on her butt. But it has faded dramatically over time and you can barely even see it now. My sister is the second owner of this model. Like the mare, and they've been in her personal collection for over 25 years now. She has a factory rough patch under her neck, although you have to look close to see it. She's also got ear tip rubs and some wear around ... moreher hooves. Breyer Regular Run#141"Buttons" Bay Grazing Mare with two white front legs. This is one of the earlier models due to her speckled shading and slightly rough seams along the back of hind legs and slightly along the back for as short ways and on her belly. I've had since for nearly 30 years and she's been well taken care of. She does have right ear tip rub. A rub along the edge of her left ear, a white spot on her rump that's actually under the finish(it's smooth) a couple pinpoint rubs to the rear of her left hind leg, one on the edge of her nose, a couple tiny ones to the front of her right hind ankle, and a rub to the outside of her right front foot(which you can kind of see in the pictures) I've made her sound pretty awful but she's got a good clean body and excellent overall color, some of the nicest I've ... moreever seen on this model. Up in this auction is a pair of antique 1800's triple deadeyes ... morefrom the Easternshore along the Chesapeake Bay. These look to be made from Lignum Vitae wood. Each measures approx. 5" across. One has two grooves on the outside and the other only one. One has three tear drop holes on either side. The other has 5 tear drop holes and one round hole. We found this on wikipedia: A deadeye is an item used in the standing and running rigging of traditional sailing ships. It is a smallish round thick wooden(usually lignum vitae) disc with one or more holes through it. Perpendicular to the plane of the disc. Single and triple-hole deadeyes are most commonly seen. The three-holed blocks were called deadeyes because the position of the three holes resemble the eye and nose sockets of a sheep's skull. Triple deadeyes are used in pairs; a line called a lanyard is run back and forth between them. Through the holes, so that they function again much as a block and tackle would. This provides a mechanical advantage, pulling harder on whatever the deadeyes are attached to. Pairs of deadeyes are placed in the shrouds(the lines that hold up the mast) where they are used to create greater tension in the shrouds.

Bay State Parlor Guitar/ Beautiful Sound no problems
Up for auction a late 1800's Bay State Guitar. Made on Washington Street in Boston MA. by the John Haynes Company. Serial number is: L 4070 The overall length is 37-3/4 inches The body length is 19 inches The upper bout is 9-1/4 inches The lower bout is 13-1/4 inches The depth of the rib at the base of the guitar is 4-7/16 inches. The depth of the rib at the top of the body is 3-3/4 inches. I will try to post a photo or two of the hard shell as soon as possible. The case we have for the guitar. Is a very good protective case. Sorry for the inconvenience, and for the delay and mix up regarding the case. This guitar also comes with a very old instruction book with 116 pages. Including a fold out view of the fingerboard with notes, titled'Method for the guitar by M. Carcassi' This book is also a Collectors Book and hard to find, ... moreusually worth around $100-$200 in, l this condition. Lots of new reprints for $20 or $30. A very pronounced V Neck makes this guitar exhibit a very nice. Quick action. Bay State made several types of necks, from a pronounced V like this one, to rounded back necks and all in-between it seems from the many I have seen. The entire instrument is strong and sound structurally. The neck, headstock, bone handles and gears etc, are all fine. A very nice inlay at the back and tail dress it up a little. Bay State always made top of the line guitars. In my opinion. as good or better than the Martins and Washburns of that era. I have 8 bayststates and one bruno, all made around the late 1800's, 3 are Haynes Excelsiors, but all of the Bay States play great when set up properly, and when someone or something hasn't damaged them over the years. This guitar is in very good playing condition and has been very well cared for over the years and has a nice ring to it.
