2 Vintage Brass RUSSELL& STOLL NY Explosion Proof Lights- PURPLE GLASS GLOBES: Up for auction is a fantastic set of 2 vintage industrial lights which I rediscovered recently in a basement which had been untouched for over 50 years. Along with these two lights. I found 8 addition vintage explosion proof ceiling lights which I will be listing in the near future so please be sure to check back often. These 2 explosion proof lights were made and are clearly marked RUSSELL& STOLL CO. NEW YORK which is embossed on the top of the brass metal fixtures. Attached to the heavy brass fixtures(which were painted silver/ grey at one point in time) are the stunning purple glass globes. These two lights obviously once hung outside or directly in the sunlight because the maganese in the glass has oxidized over many years with the exposure to the suns ... moreUV radiation. Both thick glass globes have a perfect light tinted purple coloration to them and both of the glass globes are in excellent condition given their age having no cracks or chips in the globes themselves(other than a couple of small flea bites around the base which cannot be seen once screwed into place) and the threading on the glass allows the globes to screw into place easily and tightly without any wiggle room in their brass fixtures. Although the two lights are very similar in size and shape, there are a couple of very small differences between the two including the bulb fixtures(one is marked: BRYANT 660W 250V PAT'D NOV. 26, 1907) and the mounting brackets. I have not tampered with these two lights but I have taken them apart(as shown throughout my photographs) so that you can inspect the overall condition of each light. I have gently cleaned the interior& exterior of each of these lights so the winning bidder will receive very clean items but please keep in mind that I have not tested these lights for their working condition. The bulbs that are currently with the lights are the ones which were found with them(one being an earlier National Mazda bulb)

Really Unique Antique Explosion Proof Light with 60 feet of cord
This is an Appleton explosion proof trouble light. Very rare item that I have not seen another in as good of shape. It is mainly made of aluminum with a thick glass container that protects the light bulb. It has a porcelain Light socket that says Appleton on it so it is most likely original. The power cord is in great condition. no cuts in the 60 feet of wire and the plug itself is in great shape. no cracks in the glass or aluminum. The only damage is the original aluminum hook broke off long ago and replaced with wire and the rubber shroud that covers the wire coming into the light is split.

If you look at the pics, you will see that the lights have 2 thick glass shades that fit one inside the other and are held together by a large metal nut at the bottom. The light has old blue paint on the metal casing that really gives it a great look! The dark color on the globes was just dirt that washed off when we took the light apart. We were told these lights were removed years ago from an old building in Grafton WV and have been stored in the attic ever since. We are selling them UNTESTED and AS-IS. Email questions welcome. This is a great looking Vintage Wheeler Reflector Co. Porcelain explosion proof light in very good antique condition. This piece dates back to the 1950's and would be a Great Antique Element to hang above a bar. In a game room or in a rustic barn. This piece is approx 12" Across and 12" high and has very little wear to the original finish. There are a few minor chips to the porcelain on the rim, and some minor fading on the top of the shade. 15" Inch Explosion Proof Floor Buffer Scrub Brushes (Pair)
Here is a pair of 15" explosion proof(anti-static) grounded" metal alloy scrubbing/polish pads for a floor buffer. I'm not entirely sure who the manufacturer is. But here's what I can tell you about them: They both appear to be made of some type of aluminum alloy with a stainless steel driving ring in the middle. They are quite heavy for their size at an estimated 10 lbs each. Each set of bristles is connected(grounded) to a continuous loop of stainless steel wire. I am not sure who the manufacturer is. But what looks like the emblem"LB" and the number 1682 appear on one of them. They have some dents/scratches from use and there is a bit of yellow paint on one of them. One of them has a"flat spot" the edge of the bristles from standing upright. But this would go away with use. The MDB-16 is considered an auxiliary floodlight designed for use lighting airport aprons and service areas This specific fixture. Cat no. 44595-A, is. designed to use a 1000 watt lamp(bulb) with a mogul base and a Crouse-Hinds#5 weather head. The weather head can be reversed to facilitate alternate mounting positions. The enclosure is designed to be weatherproof with a Pyrex glass cover. The glass has T.M.PAT.OFF. 14D KL 9716 and the Crouse-Hinds logo molded into it. The glass cover is hinged on one side and can be positioned to swing up. Down, left, right by repositioning the lamp shade enclosure. The glass cover is smooth on the exterior but has a textured interior surface to defuse the light. I have attempted to image that for you. There are several tiny bubbles in the glass which attest to its originality. I have tested the fixture by attaching a test cord and illuminating the bulb pictured.
