Rotary Beam Shutter Solenoid with a CO2 Laser Mirror This is a kit for a laser beam shutter/ beam delivery control actuator. It's a rotary solenoid with an attachable arm. Which has a CO2 laser mirror at its end. When power is applied to the solenoid, the arm very quickly rotates to it's"up" position, so the mirror is removed from the beam path. When power is removed, the arm returns by spring action to its resting position. This is an important fail-safe feature- if control power is disconnected for some reason, the arm moves into the beam path and stops the beam. A typical arrangement would place the arm with the mirror at 45 degrees to the beam. So that when the solenoid is not actuated, the beam is diverted to a beam stop(a piece of non-reflective, non flammable material) Another option is to divert the beam towards ... morea power meter- so you can get an immediate, automatic readout of beam power! The laser cavity can be tuned by an internal diffraction grating over a range of wavelengths from 9.2 to 10.8 microns. The laser was able to deliver a max output power of 46W(cw) It has not been used over 15 years. Ultra Lasertech CO2 Laser Heads For sale- a couple of old Ultra Lasertech CO2 Laser Heads. Using the term heads is a bit of an overstatement perhaps. Please read the listing carefully to see what you are buying. I have two Ultra Lasertech Head assemblies. A model 8823L and an 8122. The 8823L is missing all the internal glass laser components as you can see in the pictures. The 8122 has the laser glass in place but it looks like a piece is probably broken off of it as you can see in one of the pictures. The 8122 is the one with the body made out of plexi. Which is pretty cool except for the fact that a few chunks of the plexi are broken. Given the condition the lasers are sold for parts or repair only. And I will not accept a return under any circumstances. I assume that if anybody wants these it will be as collectors items. And that is a really BIG might, perhaps you might be able to take all three pieces and make one functional laser out of it. Might. CO2 laser engraver - 15W
This CO2 Laser Marker is mechanically and electrically in good condition. New lenses and bearings were replaced last year. The only deficiency is the gradual loss of laser power from the 30W laser tube. Which has about 15W output, but that power is still quite effective. This is typical with CO2 tubs over time and it can be recharged for full power engraving. Those that understand the laser recognize that good focus is still what is required for good engraving. Good engraving can be done using a little slower and multiple passes to get the full engrave job done. Focus is self adjusting with the push of a button. 15 Watts is still a powerful laser.
