Labconco stainless steel metal cold trap NW16 fitting vacuum pump oven
Stainless steel metal cold trap. It has NW16/ KF16/ QF 16 flanges on both sides for easy connection to vacuum systems. These traps are usually connected before a vacuum pump to capture volatile compounds before they reach the vacuum pump oil. The metal cavity gets filled with dry ice and a solvent that doesn't freeze(acetone. IPA, Ethanol, Methanol or similar) to cool the metal and vapors on the vacuum side will condense on the cold metal. Great to hook up between a vacuum oven and a vacuum pump for example. I hooked up the pump to a rotary vacuum pump and i managed to pump down the system to 18 millibar. note: vacuum gauge and vacuum display not included. These are my own, just used for testing)
