Napco Vacuum Oven 5831 Up for auction is a used Napco Vacuum Oven 5831 that is in decent physical condition. There are a couple scuff marks on the casing and the temperature dial has a chuck cracked off. But it is otherwise undamaged. For more information on the cosmetic condition please refer to the pictures below. Item Specifications: Model: 5831. Temperature: 35C- 200C. Serial: 9204-002. Cat No. 5831-120. Inner Dimensions: 11.5 x 8 x 8(inches) When testing. The oven heated up with no problems. I first slowly heated it up at 50% power which raised the temperature slightly. When at 100% power it heated quickly and reached an inner surface temperature of around 240F* after 10 minutes. Once heated all the way up, the heating light turned off at lower settings as expected. Using a vacuum pump I sealed the oven and it reached almost 28 Hg(inches ... moremercury) and held. It held for more than 20 minutes at the same pressure with no change.
