Up for auction is this used but very nice Hybridization rotisseerie oven made by Boekel/VWR. I set the heat 56 c and it started at 22.5 c and 22 min later it was heated up. Variable speed rotisserie dial works great as well. Unit shows use with a few small rust spots and tape residie. Thick plexi cover has access door of the front and lifts off the unit. Where you will note that a new one goes for almost $4K and that might not include the rotor, not sure about that. On that same page you can find a link to the manual downloads for this unit. The oven is in great physical condition. Initially I thought the switch for turning the rotor on was broken. But I finally noticed that it just has an interlock that stops it from turning when the door is open(although you can then push the switch to the JOG position to move it around to more conveniently access the rotor) There are some small scratches on the upper front edge of the control panel. Probably from getting moved to surplus. And a ding to the access door on the left ... moreside. I am guessing if you were so inclined you could remove that door and pound it flat again with a hammer. Other than that it could almost pass for new. And certainly looks as good as any piece of lab equipment needs to look. With the set point at 50 degrees C it ran up to that and just a bit over. But after a brief time on the computer when I came back it was sitting solidly on 50.0 so thermostatically it is functional, and the speed control for the rotor, or rotator as Agilent refers to it, works as well.
