We got this oven from someone who was using it to melt candles, and it had red candle wax residue all over the insides. We cleaned out all the wax we could reach, and set this outside at maximum temperature for a long time. It smoked for several hours, and we shut it off after we couldn't see any more smoke. The wax residue is gone, leaving a stained appearance on the inside of the oven. There is a residual odor that smells exactly like a candle that has just been blown out. No other testing was done. For sale here is a hydor therme mini oven/kiln. Tested and works okay, within 20 minutes of running it had already maxed out my temperature gun. The great thing is you can use this without a dedicated 220v service, this plugs into a regular 15a 120v outlet! It can reach 1500 degrees Fahrenheit. Perfect for firing pottery at home! This kiln is also small and doesn't take up a lot of space. Price includes shipping via usps parcel post to the continental United States. The inside area is about 12" deep 10" wide and 4.5" tall, the outside measurements are 14.5" deep without the door, 16" wide and 16" tall. Counterweight for door will be removed for shipping. This was broken off when I got it so I welded the counterweight back on to the mount plate which is removable for shipping. It works perfectly.
