2 Vintage NEW Hermes Engravograph Engraver Machines Plus 4 Font Sets & More
I have two vintage engraving machines. Both are New Hermes Engrave O Graph brand. There are some extra parts including pen holders to engrave them. Both of these machines came from the estate of a retired jeweler/ watchmaker. I do not know how to use them. One comes with a motor mounted on the machine. It is smaller than the other machine. The base measures 11-1/2" wide by 13-1/2" deep. It stands approx. 13" tall at the peak of the motor. It looks to be in fantastic shape. I plugged it in and the motor works. The other machine is larger. It measures 12" wide by 17" deep at the base. It is 13" tall atop the spring loaded rod at the center of the machine. There is no motor. Also included are four sets of templates. Three sets are Brass(see photo)s. I do not know how complete they are. However, I see them for sale ... moreon eBay for up to $9.00 each letter. There are two sets that appear to be very similar(standard letters Caps and Lowers) one set is cursive(caps and lowers) There are more(six in all) included as shown in the photos. The bars measure 1.25" tall each-this is the distance from the top and bottom horizontal ends of each font peice. These fonts will work any any standard engraving machine. Based on some research we did. We believe these fonts are made by New Hermes, however we are not 100% sure. They look very close to a New Hermes set we found online, and they are high quality brass pieces. We would estimate the set is between 20 to 30 years old. Both capital and lowercase letters. All letter include 1 Upper and 2 Lower Case Letters, except r,x, y and z which have 1 Upper and 1 Lower Case All Numbers 0-9 are present Also. There are 2 of each Number except there are a total of 3 of number 6/9. Various spacers and special characters are also present. It comes with the original tray. Description: This listing is for a set of New Hermes engraving font. There are 154 total pieces in this set. It comes with all upper case letters. All numbers(0- 9) various punctuation marks, etc. There are a few pieces that don't have a number/letter/punctuation mark on them and I don't know what thy are for, but since they came with set set I have included them. The brass pieces measure 2 11/16" L x 7/8" W. The size of the letters on the brass pieces measure 1 1/2" L. It comes in a blue plastic case marked New Hermes on the top. This font set is in very good/excellent pre-owend condition. I recently wiped down the the outside of the case, but if you would like the brass letters to have maximum shine, you may need to wipe down the letters, although this is not necessary for them to work properly) The case itself does ... morehave a bit of wear to it. As these letters have been in storage. The case has some staining. As shown in the photos, and is cracked in one of the corners.
