Rubber Roller on Aluminum Shaft - 1.5 Inch Diameter and 0.5 inch removable shaft
One Rubber roller on removable Aluminum Shaft These are only lightly used if used at all. There is no visual wear on the rubber. The rubber is 20.25 inches long and 1.5 inches outside diameter. The rubber roller is mounted on an aluminum shaft that has a diameter of 1/2 inch that has a length of a little over 23 and 1/4 inches. The shaft extends past the rubber by 9/16 on one end and by 2 and 7/16 on the other end. The rubber is in great shape and has a hardness that is probably a little softer than a car tire but probably a little harder than the tread on a pair of converse atheletic shoes. Thought this might be able to be used on a letterpress but I have not looked into it. A letter press might require a softer rubber but I really don't know. These would have application in industrial automation or machinery for packaging. Printing, ... morematerial handling, etc. The rubber could be removed from the aluminum at put on a steel shaft or steel tube and used for heavy applications like rollers for boat trailers and lawn mower equipment. I think the rubber could be cut down to any length you would need. The rubber could also be used as a round bumper/ shock absorber for industrial use such as use with a pneumatic air or hydraulic cylinder/ actuator. The rubber is NOT molded to the shaft because I can twist the rubber and feel it slip on the shaft. There is a snap ring on shaft on each end of the rubber to keep it in place. I have not tried to remove the rubber roller from the shaft but I'm up for that if you want me to try. That way I could ship only the rubber or the shaft if you wish. Salvaged from some barely used industrial equipment. I actually believe the equipment was only tested and never put into service. NOT included are lightweight bearings that came with these. I may list those separately later. I can't remember the type of machine that these came from so don't bother asking. I'll add that information to this listing if I come accross it.
