Vintage 1940s Franklin Signet Gold Leaf Embosser for Hickok - Working
This is a 1940's Franklin Signet Embosser for gold leaf made by the Franklin Mfg. Corp. in Norwood. Mass. The patent number dates to the late 1930s. This is a working embosser on a 9" x 6-1/2" wood platform with a drawer for the fonts. Not all of the type fronts are there as you can see in the photograph. A and U are missing. This embosser was apparently made for Hickok store use as the Hickok name is on 2 sides. There is an Off, Low, Medium, High and On switch. Overall it looks to be in nice condition.

This style of M-10 is alot more dependable than the new style, it has steel gears that will not wear out. The final bid price is plus $75.00 for shipping, because it is quite heavy.
