This dress form was made by Rite and has 16 adjustable sections. It is a size 1. Its adjustment ranges per the label are: Bust-32 to 42 inches. Waist-22 ½ to 32 inches. Hips-33 to 43 inches. It has a cast iron base with an adjustable height from 62 ½ inches high when adjusted all the way up and down to 35 inches high when lowered all the way down. The height measurements are to the knob on top. The knob on top is for the upper sections and the wing nuts on the inside are for the lower sections. This is a pretty pink 1950's or 1960's era plastic dress form. It is adjustable. So it can be made bigger to suit your needs. The smallest measurements of it are: 37" Bust, 27" Waist and 35" Hip. It come with a pin cup for storing sewing pins. There are some things to note: 1. It is missing one of it's rubber feet caps. 2. It's a bit dusty/dirty from being stored in a garage. 3. VINTAGE "LANE BRYANT" FULL FIGURE DRESS FORM, MANNEQUIN
Up for your consideration is a vintage"Lane Bryant" full figure dress form/mannequin. It stands 61" tall. The top features a round cast iron ball finial. On the base of the neck is stapled a plastic piece with the forms measurements. Just below the waist are the words Palmenbury Cavanaugh and near the bottom are the words Lane Bryant#47. The form has some small wear spots in the covering and some of the stitching on the sides are loose but nothing serious. There is a wire basket skirt attached below the figure. The wire has some surface rust but is all intact. Nothing broken. The rolling base stand is heavy steel with a double set of metal rollers on the bottom of each of the 4 legs. Antique Mannequin Dress Form or Magicians Vintage Trick Table Base - WILL SHIP
This adjustable collapsible mannequin belonged to my great great grandmother and it was in her Beauty Salon in the 1920's-1970's. It may be older. As she was born in late 1890's. The base is on wheels and could be used for a magicians table base. Prop parts, magic or music stand or any number of theatrical theme ideas or settings. This is a vintage mannequin form display or for sewing purposes. We have seen Broadway plays and other theatrical uses of similar mannequins. We do not know the actual age of this item but the base could pass for Victorian age. Hermann the Great. Kellar, Thurston etc. come to mind with props using this kind of base.
