For sale is this incredibly cool My Double Dress Form Model B. This is from the 1940's. Has this great metal/wire flexible body that you can shape with the included rods. Rods pull out and in to form the shape. Wonderful snap together front and back of body. I have seen a few Model A's but it seems this Model B is rarer. Wood base that you can make higher or lower by inserting the peg. Both the top and bottom of the wood base still retain an original My Double label. At full extension. There are little pieces of paper with number on the adjustable knobs that are coming off from being so old. I am sad to see her go. But I need the room. I purchased this mannequin about 15 years ago. Because I thought I would sew. But I didn't. So. I wired her as a floor lamp, and used different hats for the lampshade. I would find these amazing vintage dresses at thrift shops and dress her in them. Sometimes she would startle my ex- he thought that there was a stranger in the house. Then again. He wasn't that bright. Her metal parts are no longer shiny. And the metal at the neck is a bit rusty. There is a knob that is missing that protrudes from the top of her neck. She used to have a stamp on her chest. And I remember she was a size"B" Measurements: With her adjustments fully closed/smallest size) Bust: 37" Waist: 28" Hips: 39" If you expand her parts. Beautiful Tall Vintage French Mannequin Dress Form made our of plaster over fabric. Brass arm and neck plates. Brass tacks on cotton lining. Wood underpart of dress form where the cast iron attachment holds the wood base. Wood turned column with dark green paint on two circular rings. The only markings I see say"FF" on the underside of the cast iron attachment. Some of the plaster has small chips which have flaked off. This is a wonderful piece to add to any dress shop. This dress form mannequin is probably from the 1950s– 1960s There are many separate places to adjust: chest. Bust, mid-section, shoulders, waist. The fabric is in good condition– there are some frays here and there and discolor as well. The inside metal adjustments have some rust but the wing nuts/screws do turn enabling you to expand and contract different parts of the form. Some of these metal sliders do have some bend. It comes on a cast metal adjustable stand. There is some rusting on the pole. The previous owner sanded and painted the leg base– that looks pretty good! As shown in the photos. Unique Vintage Antique Wire & Wood Dress Form - Mannequin on aTurned Wood Base
This is an antique dress form or mannequin made of wire on a turned wood base. The shoulders are wood with a wood dowel down the middle that fits into the base. There are wire loops in the top of the turned part and also on the base for strings to hold the wire form in place. At one time it was covered in burlap. It is 58" tall. The base is about 21" tall and 16" wide. The wire form is 16" by 14" across the bottom, 13" by 10" at the waist, and 14" by 11" at the bust. It is 15" wide at the shoulders.

The dress form is in an as found used condition it has some wire separation just around the breast line as well some age related wear and a dark patina. The dress form stands approximately 48" high with an approx. width of 14" and disassembles at the hemline.
