Vintage 1950s adjustable dress form Brand: Hearthside sold exclusively at Sears Roebuck Iron base Comes with a dust cover Size A Bust adjusts: 32-39 inches Hip adjusts: 34-41 inches 14 sections Condition: Good considering its age. Several small holes in the fabric scattered all over(see pictures) A few tiny spots. Dress form wobbles a bit on the pole(something might need to be tightened) I used this dress form to display clothing for my Etsy shop and the wobbling wasn't ever really an issue for me. But I figured I'd mention it. Still fully functional.

This includes the wire dress form, stand, instructions, 13 sliding rods and 2 shoulder bars. There is one piece missing from the set: one of the base pieces for stand, shown in image 6. There should be 2 of these, but only one is included here. So, in order to place form on metal stand, and have it not wobble, some type of reinforcer and a wing-nut will have to be a stand in for missing piece. This is a vintage Singer dress form with a very cool adjustable aluminum base. The tag on the inside reads"Molded from life" leading me to think this was molded for a specific person but I'm not sure. The waist measures 25" and the bust is 33" The total body length is 26.5" not including the base. The base is adjustable and is made of heavy. Thick aluminum. The inside has some normal age related peeling but the form is solid. The body lifts off the base and there is a neck piece that is just loose(the neck piece is bent but needs to be to fit through the small waist) Nude color clothe covering. In overall clean condition with some light wear and small dirty spots. Smoke. Odor, and gross free!

She had gotten the form from a neighbor who is now 93 years young. The woman I got this from also had some vintage irons I am listing separately. And a very unique and I am sure very rare, ironing steaming wheel that is hidden in the form of a standard chest of drawers. Didn't even want to ask what they wanted for that.

This is a fascinating catalog that boasts on the cover. The Greatest Invention in the History of Dressmaking, the Only Automatic Adjustable Dress Form Made" Catalog measures 6" x 9 1/2" and contains 10 pages. This also comes with a MINT sales letter(printed on both sides) with cool graphics in the letterhead. The catalog is a little frail, but is not torn or tattered. Antique dress form as shown. The form is about 28" tall. It has a series of bars and wing nuts inside adjust the size. The inside hardware is rusty. There might be a couple wing nuts missing. The old material covering the panels is present, but very frail. It has a great aged look because it's old. It would be good to restore or for some kind of art project. I will pack extra cardboard wrapped around this when shipping. The stand is not present but the clamp for it is still present and it wouldn't be difficult to fabricate or find a replacement stand. This dress form was made by Rite and has 16 adjustable sections. It is a size 1. Its adjustment ranges per the label are: Bust-32 to 42 inches. Waist-22 ½ to 32 inches. Hips-33 to 43 inches. It has a cast iron base with an adjustable height from 62 ½ inches high when adjusted all the way up and down to 35 inches high when lowered all the way down. The height measurements are to the knob on top. The knob on top is for the upper sections and the wing nuts on the inside are for the lower sections. It is used and in good condition but has some stains and signs of use as pictured. This is perfect for your sewing projects or for modeling your dresses.
