Daedal Motorized 12x10 X-Y Stage, +/- 2" Travel, DRC Dynamics Research Encoders
Daedal Motorized X-Y Stage For sale- a Daedal Motorized X-Y Stage. I was under the impression that both the upper and lower stages were the same. But I finally found model number stickers on the bottom one and it has two, 008-0953 and 110802P-10M. So maybe one is the top one and one is the bottom one? And who knows which is which? I measure a full two inches of travel in either direction for the bottom stage moving it using the manual control at the back of the motor. The top stage seems to stop just shy of 2” So if I had to speculate I would say the model number ending in 10M perhaps is the top one, with perhaps the“M” standing for metric, in which case the travel would perhaps only be 50mm in each direction. Perhaps? The top stage is 12 inches long by 10 inches wide. The two attached motors have no identifying markings. But what I found ... morereally odd was that in addition to what I assume to be a Daedal linear encoder on each of the two axis. There is also a DRC Dynamics Research Corp. Encoder model LT4A-0220-EC-L03 on both on the side opposite the Daedal encoder. Not sure if the DRC is more precise or perhaps they had issues with the Daedals and adding the DRC units was easier or more cost effective than replacing the Daedals. Without a working knowledge of this system and a controller to put it through the paces I cannot test it. So other than manually cranking it back and forth it is untested and NO warranty is offered. However. IF you pay the asking price and find it has a problem you cannot live with within 14 days of receipt you may return it. Returns are ONLY allowed on Buy It Now Purchases. This unit is used and has some scratches on the edges but the movement is smooth and set seems to hold very well. I am not very familiar with this equipment.
