Buckingham Bucklite Titanium Tree Gaffs Climbing Spurs
Buckingham Bucklite Titanium Spurs. 2 3/4" tree gaffs. Come with bottom straps only. I used these with aluminum"caddy" pads and put some spray foam on them to keep them from rattling. That's the residue you see in the pics. I had a knee operation so I switched over to pole gaffs last year and don't use these anymore. Gaffs could probably use a touch up but I liked them without a needle point. These sell for $349 new.

Up for sale is a vintage antique pair of W H Buckingham MFG CO LC-5 17" Inch Tree Pole Climbing Foot Spikes. These are in very good condition. They are very old and have developed a rusty patina over time. The leather is in good shape. It is not dried or cracked. However, it is a bit worn in spots and dirty in others. Also, there is some sort of residue(the white spots, clearly visible in the pictures) on the leather of one of the upper buckles. It is kind of waxy and can be scraped off, but please keep in mind that these are barn fresh, as found, I do not typically clean these sort of item for fear of damaging it by using chemicals or abrasives. You may have better luck. The manufacturer stamps are clearly readable, the buckles are easy fasten/unfasten. Very cool items. Up for auction is a Buckingham 601L tree lowering device or port-a-wrap. It has a working load of 2000lbs. It uses up to a 3/4" rope and weighs 7.25lbs. It is powder coated black and made of steel. I am also including a 3/4"x 4' x 8' Whoopie Sling and a 5/8" x 3' x 6' Loopie Sling. I bought all of these items new from a tree supply retail store to use on 1 tree job where the trees were very close to the customer's house. They have a total of about 10 small branches that were lowered using them. As you can see by the photos there is almost no wear on any of these items.
