These are wooden type for a letterpress that I bought about 10 years ago. They have been sitting in my box and I've never gotten around to using them. There are 233 pieces in total. All 1" tall. It appears that there are several typefaces mixed in together, and I have made an attempt to accurately catalog them all, but probably have mixed up O's and 0's, and 2's and 5's, etc. Here is the list as best as I can tell: Shipping will be determined after the buyer makes the purchase and specifies their preferred shipping method and I can get a quote from a shipper.

This solid drawer measures about 14" square and about 2" deep. The previous owner attached a piece of burgundy oilcloth to protect the type. This can be pulled off without a problem. The tray is labeled Sans Serif condensed 24 pt. But I cannot verify that all the type is that font and size. This drawer came from printers studio where any other type could have been mixed in with this face and font. This auction is for a lightly used set of 12 point sans serif lead type- ALL CAPS. It looks as though several of the letters have not been used. It comes in a small metal box which reads"Made in England" on the side. As seen in the photos. It comes with a variety of 12 point spacing as well. This is for the 2 trays of vintage metal letters shown. The right set is serif italic with 113 pieces of both caps and lower case. Numbers and punctuation- some are MISSING- there is no cap B and no F's at all. A few of the letters look to be add on's and not original to the set. It is 22pt(1/4" Cap height) serif italic- not positive of the face- but like Century Schoolbook. The other tray has 130 pieces- caps only. With numbers and punctuation, $ etc. These are smaller- they are 18pt(3/16" Cap height) serif regular. They look like Cheltenham. There are 8 pieces that don't match the set. See the photos. The overall length of the metal pieces is 7/8" long. These can be used for stamping. Crafts or any other repurpose you can think of. These are heavy to ship- so flat rate is the best option. Up for auction is a set of gothic wood type characters. 1 5/8" all caps plus some punctuation, 94 pieces in all. Please note: There is no letter Z. Weird stuff first- on the back of a W is a rather good carving of two men in stocks in a cell( On the back of a P is a carving of a man's head, and on the backs of a G and a K, respectively, are carved the numbers 5 and 7. As the photos show, several pieces have been whittled upon for kerning purposes, specifically two As and a D, R, T, W and Y. Surface dents are present on an E, an H and a D. I haven't been able to determine the specific typeface, there's an extended terminal on the R and an unusual tail on the Q that don't match any wood Gothic specimens I can find.
