Up For Auction! This is a set of RARE! Antique/ Vintage 52 Wooden Letter Stamps- These stamps have wooden handles and the stamp is made of a slate material. Similar to what a chalk board is made of or a rock type material. There is at least one of every letter of the alphabet and all of the numbers except 4 and 6. A stamper, ruler and a metal piece(patd 1895) It was manufactured by Russel of New Paris Indiana but most of the print has wore off of the box. Please email with any questions to my eBay email. Huge lot of vintage wood letterpress block letters. Full alphabets with variations. All pieces are around an inch or so. Look at ruler for an idea. I counted once and got 420 pieces. VINTAGE WOOD BLOCK STAMP PRINTING SET ALPHABET NUMBERS PUNCUATION
Here is a 1895 boxed set of wooden block printing stamps. It includes 2" letters A to Z both capitals and small letters. Numbers 1 to 0 and several punctuation marks. There are also 2 old stamp pads and an 18" ruler. The ruler is marked pat. Oct. 22, 1895. There is also an unknown piece of metal that is marked pat. 1895. No complete type set has been destroyed for creating the alphabet. The orphans are happy to be together in their new family and be a part of these wonderful mixed alphabets. As the characters have had a working life and were used for many. Alphabet soup 18 piece unknown maker metal printing block letterpress
Howdy Folks, Hope all is well. Up for your viewing or auctioning pleasure is a printing block. This group is an incomplete alphabet. Unknown maker. A total of 18 letters. They will need to be cleaned a lot better A couple of them have some dings on the corners. No other markings. Since it is a used printing block there could be some scratches and scuffs and nicks. I used some mild soap and water with a soft brush. However they will need to be cleaned better. Remember that it is used and will need a better cleaning. Folks please refer to the pictures for more description. Measures about 13/16 x 11/16" and about 7/8" deep. If you have questions or need more pictures please let us know.
