i000000. Description This sale is for this older Vintage transit level with a wooden carry case. It has" K2-5481. It measures aprox 6" tall and 11" long. I do not know alot about it or exactly how old it is or if it is funtionable the way it or if it needs maintenance or caliberated. Here's a circa 1900 Antique CL Berger& Sons Surveying Transit in Wood Case offered at NO RESERVE! The transit appears to be in Good Condition. Well used and showing the wear you should expect from an instrument that is 100 years old. I'm not a Surveyor but everything appears intact on the transit, please refer to the pictures and ask any questions if you're uncertain or I've left anything out. There's wear to the finish, loss to the black paint, and accumulated dust and dirt. The dial indicates a Patent Date of 1897 and I would say it was made not long after that date. Whatever accessories came with the transit are missing. The case is nicely dovetailed with much original and later instructions and other paperwork intact. The outside of the case has about 1,000 dents, dings, chips, scratches, holes, missing pieces ... moreand so forth but is still tight and strong functionally. Rare Vtg KEUFFEL & ESSER CO., Surveying Transit, wooden stand & leveling rod
There is no marking on this transit but we found a couple of others just like this one on EBAY and they stated that they were Antique Brass Keuffel& Essex surveryor transit. What is nice about this transit is it comes with the origianal wooden tripod and a wooden 8' foot grade leveling rod. Transit lenses are clear and seem to work/look just fine. The wooden box that holds the transit is very neat. Too. If you look closely in the pictures you will see that there is a blumb-bob in the front right corner of the box A very nice set. A brass top, and a threaded wooden cap. The rod is wood, steel, and brass. Both pieces have various scratches and stains, and the leather leg strap has dried out and is no longer functional. This antique Keuffel& Esser Co. surveying equipment is in excellent condition for its age but does have a few signs of wear. This device includes 4 of the original attachments/surveying equipment items. And they are also in great condition with a little wear but no abuse. The antique transit measures 18 1/2" long and is 8 1/2" tall the wooden box is 19 1/2" long and 9 1/2" high. This set of early surveying equipment would be a great addition to any antique collectors collection.

Serial#47, Bostrom Brady MFG CO, Atlanta Ga USA Tripod is 5 feet tall(does not adjust) Original wooden box to store transit in. Plumb is missing, other than that looks like all other pieces are there. Instruction booklet is still there. I do not know much about transits. But there are no broken pieces as far as I can tell. Vintage brass K&E Keuffel & Esser Surveying Transit level in wooden case 1946
Description Vintage Keuffel& Esser K&E brass/bronze surveyors transit. I'm not sure of the model number(looks like a 5085CF but I can't find any markings to confirm) Serial number 95098, probably dates to the mid 1940s. Looks to be in pretty decent condition for age, lens looks clear, all bubble levels are intact, shows typical brassing from paint rub. It could use a cleaning, I can detect a very slight musty aroma from storage but not too serious. Includes everything pictured. wooden case, brass plumb bob, etc. Case is a bit dinged up around the finger-jointed edges but still quite solid, leather strap is strong. Shipping weight 21 lbs. David White Level-Transit Surveying Scope Vintage With Wooden Box Model 8300
This listing is for a very nice David White level-transit surveying scope. This is model 8300 and in great condition. This particular model is supposedly the best transit level made. I think it's from the 1960s. This is a beautiful piece for work or display. Great for the steampunk fans. It has lots of brass fittings and trim and would be lovely polished up. It comes in a heavy duty wooden case with a very sturdy carrying strap. Everything seems to be in good working order. All pieces move smoothly with no effort. The pictures just don't show how nice this is.

What a great piece. Looks to be in very decent shape. Compass works. And the lens is clear. Tripod is about 5 feet tall. I put 100 in for shipping. I am willing to give discount if its less. Tripod is so big will probably have to be shipped in two boxes.
