This is an orange-and-gray construction tripod. Also known as a surveyor's tripod. It is about three feet long when fully folded and compacted, and approximately 6 inches in diameter at the top. When extended to its maximum height, it is roughly five feet tall. See pictures 1, 2, and 5, where a yardstick is shown for scale. It is in good condition. On the top. There is a hand-turnable bolt that fastens standard equipment such as a builder's level, a laser level, or other items to the top. The three feet have small spikes that can be pushed down into dirt, and can be locked together when the item is in storage. It has a carrying strap on one side, and weighs between 9 and 10 pounds. This is a survey tripod used for surveying or construction use. I'm unable to find any manufacturer name or model number on this tripod. Some markings on the tripod frame are marked"Made in Hungary" Some numbers on the leg parts read 550 512.02. 550 512.03. It also has"PPE" marked on some of the parts. The tripod is in well-used condition with scratches, nicks, wear and dirt on it. The yellow legs are hollow. I'm guessing they are either PVC or fiberglass, it's hard to tell, but they are very sturdy and do not flex much. In closed position the length of the tripod is 42" With all legs fully extended the length of the tripod is just under 6' in length(legs not spread) The feet appear to be in good shape. There is a point on each leg as well as foot-stand that can be used to securely attached the tripod ... moreto the ground. The clamps on each leg hold the tripod securely in it's position. The legs open and close properly. The hinges hold their position when they are opened as well. Overall a very nicely constructed unit and given that it was made in"Hungary" it was probably made by a higher-end manufacturer. The tripod weights just under 12 pounds.
