Thermolyne Cellgro 45700 S45725 Multi 5-point Magnetic Stirrer. The company is also known as Barnstead/Thermolyne. Good working condition. The front knobs function correctly. The digital RPM display is clear. The display(and the change in sound of the motor inside) indicates that the speed control does vary the speed. We do not have the equipment to verify the RPM but we did test this unit(and others we are selling) using the very scientific method of filling a styrofoam cup with water. Dropping a paper clip in it, and then watching the paper clip revolve at different speeds depending on what RPM was displayed in the LCD window. As noted in the"Conditions" section above. There are some of what look like"flecks" in the LCD display. They do not however affect the readability of the display. We are taking $10 off anyway on ... morethe price here, compared to the other current listing we have for one of these. Lab equipment in our experience is sometimes rusty or stained on the bottom. Showing it was not well taken care of and/or people were careless about cleaning it in the event of a spill. The bottom of this item and the two other stirrers to be listed all on the same date show no signs of this. You can see a photo of the bottom of the other same-model unit on that other listing; this unit's undersigned looks just as clean.
