LOT of(4) Corning Ceramic Top Hot Plate Magnetic Stirrers PC-351& PC-353* Tested This auction is for a LOT of(4) Corning Ceramic Top Magnetic Stirrers in good condition. Three are model PC-351 Hotplate Stirrers. And the fourth unit is a model PC-353 Stirrer. Former university property. Very clean other than some stains from prior use. All have been tested and are definitely functional usable units, except for a few minor quirks as described in the notes. Variable speed magnetic stir motors work on all four, as do the heaters& thermostats, unless noted otherwise below. Pictures show the stirring vortexes of each unit, when set to max speed. The heat& stir indicator lights operate on all units, and power cables are in good shape, flexible and without any insulation damage. I've named these Red, Blue, Yellow, and Green in the ... morenotes, with pictures showing each in that order of color, and I've marked their names on the bottom of each unit, so you'll know which one is which when you receive them. All pictures are of actual items being sold. Kimax beaker not included. Will ship via FedEx within the US, quality packed& insured. NOTES: Red: Stir motor works fine full range. Slow through fast, but the knob needs to be rotated slowly for some reason, when adjusting speed. Blue: The heater doesn't work. The lamp comes on when set to heat. And I can hear the thermostat click on& off, but the plate only warms up extremely slightly. May be a simple fix, I didn't investigate further. Yellow: Heat indication light is always on. Even with heater set to off. The heater itself works OK throughout range, and turns off when selected, the light just doesn't go out. Green: Works fine. Corning PC-353 Magnetic Stirrer, mixer, mix stir
Here is a used and not working properly magnetic stirrer made by Corning model PC-353. Ceramic top measures 7" wide. 5 1/2" long and about 5" tall. Unit does not come on consistently and when it does decide to spin it's not at a consistent speed. Nice clean ceramic top just needs scrubbed. Base and sides have small stains. A good parts unit. Stirring bar not included. No returns on this item! Please check out my other items because I do combine shipping. Thanks for looking.
