I bought this last year and only used it a handful of times. There are no problems with it. I'm just getting a digital one as a gift and that's the only reason I'm selling it. There are some very slight surface scratches from normal use and cleaning on the steel plate itself(see pictures) Besides that, it's like new. I really only used it about 6 times. Temperature goes up to 340 C(644 F) Magnetic stir can go up to 1500 RPM. It has been very reliable for me. The temperature is very reliable and steady as well as the stirring speed. Magnet is very strong. It easily spins large stir bars from 6+ inches above the hotplate. Those were the two things I was worried about before I bought it and I was pleasantly surprised. It is missing both knobs and the front is bent slightly beside the stir speed knob. It will stir. The speed adjustment works but something is slightly out of balance which causes it to vibrate slightly when turned to high speed, not really a problem but worth mentioning.
