This item is in good condition with some minor cosmetic wear from normal use. There are a few minor scratched on the item and some chipped paint but this does not effect the functionality of the item. The power cable is in good condition with no cuts or frayed areas. Please see the photos below for more details on the item. This item was plugged in and powered on with no problems. The heat and stir dials both turned properly and the green lights worked as well. We then put a glass beaker full of water and turned the heat and stir dial all the way up and let it sit for five minutes. The plate was extremely hot and the glass beaker was stirring. It measures 11" X 7"X almost 3 1/2" It all works. It heats up really fast and the stirrer works fine. The Heat light doesn't come on and I don't know if the knob on the burner is right. It turns but it seems loose. Doesn't affect the way it works. Has a built in power cord. It has burn marks on the plate and a couple of dents in the front of the plate. There is also some of the green paint missing to the right of the plate. The stirrer numbers on the knob are worn off. Its not in the prettiest shape but seems to do the job. Barnstead Thermolyne Hot Plate Stir Plate, tested, no reserve
This is a used stir plate and hot plate combination made by Barnstead/Thermolyne. Surface is approximately 7.5 inches X 7.5 inches. I have tested the stirrer ability and the heating ability of item. Both work very well. This item is used. I have cleaned with a mild cleaner but as you can see in pictures it is still used in appearance. You will notice the outer insulation on the power cord is cracked on the back of the unit. Internal wires are still insulated and I could not find any exposed wiring anywhere. This would be an easy fix with electrical tape or electrical shrink wrap if this is a concern. Terms of sale. 1. At surplus_equipment_2012.
