I'm offering a lot of 2 Vintage Hot plate Trivets marked on the backs" Trivet Hotplate Handmade with Abalone shells taken by divers from the Ocean Made by Craftsmen of New Trends Industries(1969 written in Roman Numerals) Made in USA. Both measure 5 1/2" diameter. Both have the original label on back. Both have 3 molded feet with felt pads. Although white trivet is missing 1 felt pad. You could replace that easily. Both show surface scuffs and scratches to tops. Black has a few chips and nicks on the edge. I try hard to describe carefully so you know what you are getting. It has Twin Hotplates& has Twin Wick type Burners. The wick adjusters do not turn on both of the burners. There is wicks in both of them. The burners sit flush in the holders& are able to be pulled out& put back in. The burners sit about 4cms off the surface when they are sitting in there places. The burners wick adjustment knobs& the fuel caps on both looks to be copper.There is some brass nuts on the side of the burners as well. The stove is made from steel& is quite flimsy& I did see a touch of army green in the sides of the burners when I pulled them out of the holders. I do not have a clue who made this& I cant see any ... moremakers mark on it anywhere so If anyone knows how old or who made this stove could you please msg me as it would be much appreciated. As I stated in the previous comments there is a lot of rust on these items& may not be restore-able but still would make a really nice garden ornament to sit your pot plants in or on. I ran some silver polish over these items and they shined up nicely. They could used a better cleaning. This item would make a great addition to your collection.
