Sander is being sold AS IS. Mfg By: Ramco Model: 30 30" Single Head Wide Belt Sander Serial No: 302 Main Drive Motor: Baldor 20 HP. 1725 RPM, 208-220/440V, 3 Phase Conveyor Motor: 3/4 HP. 1725 RPM, 208-220/440V 3 Phase Sanding Belt Size: 29" wide X 84" long Machine Weight: 2.850 Lbs. machine weight only, not actual shipping weight) The sander is currently wired for 230V so we could test it. But the main motor starter is a size 2 and not rated for the 20 HP"full working load" on 230V. The sander will need to be run on 440V with the included starter, or you will need to upgrade the starter to a size 3 if you plan to run it on ... more230V. The main drive motor. Sanding rolls, conveyor and conveyor motor run fine, with no excess noise that would indicate bearing problems. The main drive motor has a brake mounted on it, but it was disconnected by the previous owner and we have not attempted to hook it back up. It is a Sterns brand brake and parts should be available if you choose to hook it back up. Also, the forward/ reverse drum switch that controls the conveyor is a little"loose" in the forward position. If you push it all the way forward, it will not start the motor, but if you stop it just shy of all the way, the motor runs fine. May need adjusting or possibly new contacts. The main issue with this sander is with the pneumatic belt tracking system. This sander has an"Air Jet" style tracking system consisting of an adjustable pneumatic relay and 3 regulators. We have been unsuccessful at getting the tracking system to work properly. It will not actuate with just the sanding belt breaking the air stream. Up for your consideration is a Timesavers Model 137-HD 36" belt sander serial#19404T. It has a Leeson 3 phase 20 hp 1760 rpm 208-230/460 volt. 53-48/24 amp motor serial#U74201772. The sander is currently wired 460 volt 3 phase. To test it I changed it temporarily to 208 volt 3 phase as my warehouse does not have 460 volt. Both the sander motor and the feed motor work fine. I did not run a board through as I was not sure if everything was set up properly. It has a pneumatic belt tensioner and it works fine as well. It does have some scratches, and the rubber boots on the table lifting screws need to be replaced, and some of the push buttons on the control panel are cracked(they still work fine) Please ask any questions you might have. Master Grinder Wide Belt Sander
This WORKING 24" wide belt sander was converted into a wood sander. I am trying to sell this for the owner who is less than internet savvy. 25" Ramco Sander(serial number 935) 15 HP. 3 Phase, with a separate motor for the conveyor belt. It has a platen which can be inserted to produce a ripple free surface during fine/finish sanding. T he belt tracking mechanism uses compressed air. I have used this machine in my shop for the last ten years or so and it is a reliable workhorse. I've replaced the contact wheel(a $700+ item) and roller bearings so it cuts like new: there are no dead spots/grooves in the contact wheel. Parts for this machine are still available from Ramco. This is by far the nicest Back Stand Idler I've seen, and it's HUGE! The weight of this Unit is: 63 lb's It has an exceptional range of adjustment for: Tracking, Tensioning and Side to side, and Front to Rear positioning of the Idler wheel. All the controls work easily. And as they should! There are NO: Breaks, or Repairs. I did put a new handle on the Idler control) I see part numbers. On some castings. But no manufacturer's name. It is very Solidly Constructed, of Thick Steel plate, and Heavy Aluminum Castings. There had been some rust on it. But it cleaned up very well. I repainted the Steel parts. All the screw threads are in good condition. And work easily. The Face of the Idler Wheel measures: 9- 1/4" wide and is: 6- 1/8" in diameter. The overall length of the idler wheel, and arbor. Is: 18- 3/8" The bearings ... morefeel tight, and sound quiet. It spins very smoothly. The idler wheel is Aluminum. There are some minor surface scratches. But nothing that would affect it's function. The Base of the Angle plate measures: 14" by 6- 1/4" Where the upper mechanism is bolted to the angle plate, the mechanism can be moved front to back. Up for your bidding consideration is this lightly used JET JWB 1632-1 wide belt commercial professional open end belt sander. This machine is in very good to excellent physical condition and appears to have been used very little. It did not have a sanding belt. So I could not test its operation on an actual piece of wood, but the machine does start and run. It is a 230 volt single phase machine, so it will work virtually anywhere, including any home wood shop. I looked the machine over and found no obvious damage, and it appears to be ready to use once a new sanding belt is installed. The paint finish shows minor wear, including some minor chips and scratches. The rollers all appear to be in good condition and roll nicely. The motors run well when turned on, but I could not tell the actual operation under load because of no sanding belt. ... moreI believe it might be missing a cover where the table adjuster wheel is, but other than that(and the belt) it appears to be totally complete. 10HP 220V/440V 24" Grizzly G9962ZX Wide Belt Sander
Up for auction is a Grizzly G9962ZX 24" wide belt sander. The unit was acquired for the purpose of implementation in an international guitar shop. Unfortunately export regulations and foreign import taxes have made it cost prohibitive to ship this unit to it's original destination so it is now due for liquidation. This high performance belt sander was actively in use in a guitar shop but a larger unit was purchased to increase productivity. Although I have no way of testing it myself without full installation. The unit was in use prior to my receipt, and appears sound and in overall good mechanical condition. It has been used and shows wear marks and aesthetic flaws from general shop use. The only visible flaw found during inspection is a small tear in the feed belt as seen in the photos.
