LOCAL PICKUP ONLY* Huntington Beach. CA This is a GENERAL INTL 25 In. 3 HP Horizontal Double Drum Sander. $2400 NEW. I bought it from Eagle Tools(Los Angeles) in 2009. It's had very light use in my guitar shop each year. Maybe I've used it once every 2 weeks to make veneers or do final sanding for guitar body blanks(mahogany is typical) Sometimes it sits for many weeks. And when I do use it, the sander never gets heavy use during operation, just one-off sanding projects running maybe 20 minutes at most per piece. FOR THE PHOTOS ABOVE. I'VE REMOVED THE LEFT SIDE PANEL TO SHOW HOW CLEAN THE INSIDE IS, GEARS, ETC ARE- NO RUST OR CORROSION. The double drums are nice feature. Allowing a coarse grit on first drum and a finer grit as the work piece passes under the second drum. Sands very evenly. Not only does this take wood up to 24" ... morewide(I never have had that need) BUT I use it to create"paper thin" veneers- I can get a 1/32" veneer using a simple sled board with sand paper to hold the veneer. very versatile. Very solid and heavy machine, with very low vibration. Some issues I've had. 1) the conveyor belt sputtered(did not run evenly) when in high speed(conveyor controller) And that was due to a loose wire connection on the controller. Works fine now. 2) some occasional snipe marks on top of the work piece when operating the conveyor belt at high speed. This is overcome by making an additional pass-thru at a more moderate conveyor speed. Final thoughts. This sander has worked great for me. But I can't suggest it would be the sander you'd want for a heavy shop environment running cabinet doors, etc. all day long. Good luck bidding. And below is some more company info. 25" Ramco wide belt sander - 15 HP with new contact drum and removable platen
25" Ramco Sander(serial number 935) 15 HP. 3 Phase, with a separate motor for the conveyor belt. It has a platen which can be inserted to produce a ripple free surface during fine/finish sanding. T he belt tracking mechanism uses compressed air. I have used this machine in my shop for the last ten years or so and it is a reliable workhorse. I've replaced the contact wheel(a $700+ item) and roller bearings so it cuts like new: there are no dead spots/grooves in the contact wheel. Parts for this machine are still available from Ramco. Also included are 6 new 25"x 60" sanding belts of various grit sizes. This machine weighs about 3500 lbs and shipping from Moab. Utah is not included in the price.

PNEUMATIC SANDING DRUM SET 2x8 & 1x3
This is a set of three pneumatic contour sanding drums with a mix of new and used sleeves. The two bigger assemblies are 2x8" and the little guy is a 1x3" The drums have sat around unused for years and may need work. What I can see is the drive stem on one is broken and the brass threads on one of the air valves are buggered up. The air valve still seats and seals just threads a bit harder. The canvas has no tears but is a bit discolored. The rubber drums hold air. These sanding drums are still available along with parts from Supergrit.com. There are two user made aluminum end mounts that need new bearings. There is a set of 5 unused sleeves for the 2x8 drums and 7 used with a little life left. There are two sleeves for the little 1x3. Here's the Idler Drum Cover for a 6" x 48" Delta Milwaukee Belt Sander Grinder Finisher(will also fit the Rockwell models of this machine) As you can see in the photos, this part needs some TLC! but. In light of what these pieces sometimes go for. I thought it might be a worthwhile project. There's one smaller repair to one end. The very common groove left behind by poor belt tracking. This repair has been partially filled, with a common product called"Plastic-Weld" I've had very good luck with this filler. It's durable. Sticks well, and takes paint well. The repair could be completed with other products as well. Though, as I've found the"Plastic Weld" to be very stable. And inert, once hardened. These partial repairs were made several years ago) The second partial repair. Involves the Guide ... morepin. Inside the cover. There was some cracking around it's base. This repair looks to be very sound. And is nearly completed. Of course. The major concern here, is the large break. This is a clean break; meaning. That only one piece is broken off. And when held together. The pieces mate nicely. This would need to be strongly glued at the edges. Perhaps this repair could also be reinforced. From inside, an adhesive backed sheet. Or tape. Ultimately. I think this item could be restored to usefulness with limited effort. And at a significant cost savings, over a better condition used. Delta 18 x 36 Drum Sander 31-250 with Attachments
Up for sale is a Delta model 31-250 open head drum sander. The 18" drum allows total sanding width of 36" Also included is a 4 x 9 Pneumatic drum attachment. And a shaft for a flapper wheel. The extra shafts can be attached to one end of the main drive shaft, and removed when not in use. This machine is from my personal shop and works well for light to medium sized projects. I used it to sand Clipboards. Cutting Boards, and Lazy Susans. It has seen quite a bit of use, and has been well maintained. The only issue is that the main power switch does not work. I rewired it so that it's always on and just plug it into a power strip and use the on/off switch on the power strip. This is a heavy machine. So local pick up only. This sander was owned by my dad. He purchased it new with the optional stand shortly before he became ill and then passed away. He made musical instruments as a hobby. guitars. Etc. It was used lightly and never in commercial or hard use. I held onto it for years after he died, but I really have no use for it. I found a few extra sanding belts. Two of them are used. Belts are readily available. I had the original paperwork with the machine. But have now misplaced it. If I find it, the paperwork will be included. This is a quality made product by Woodmaster.
