Timesavers Model 137-HD 36" Belt Sander Furniture Cabinet Shop Planer Delta Jet
Up for your consideration is a Timesavers Model 137-HD 36" belt sander serial#19404T. It has a Leeson 3 phase 20 hp 1760 rpm 208-230/460 volt. 53-48/24 amp motor serial#U74201772. The sander is currently wired 460 volt 3 phase. To test it I changed it temporarily to 208 volt 3 phase as my warehouse does not have 460 volt. Both the sander motor and the feed motor work fine. I did not run a board through as I was not sure if everything was set up properly. It has a pneumatic belt tensioner and it works fine as well. It does have some scratches, and the rubber boots on the table lifting screws need to be replaced, and some of the push buttons on the control panel are cracked(they still work fine) Please ask any questions you might have. This machine is in very good to excellent physical condition and appears to have been used very little. It did not have a sanding belt. So I could not test its operation on an actual piece of wood, but the machine does start and run. It is a 230 volt single phase machine, so it will work virtually anywhere, including any home wood shop. I looked the machine over and found no obvious damage, and it appears to be ready to use once a new sanding belt is installed. The paint finish shows minor wear, including some minor chips and scratches. The rollers all appear to be in good condition and roll nicely. Up for auction is my own prestine condition dual belt sander in Jet dress. This machine is manufactured by the same company that makes the Delta. General international, and Steel City drum sander as well. Powered by 3 HP 220V 15A motor and industrial conveyor belt is driven by 1/8 HP variable speed drive 6-30 FPM. 1/4" to 5" capacity x 25" Magnetic controls for safety, digital thickness gauge, 5" precision machined air cooled drums, infeed and outfeed rollers are adjustable and easy sanding belt changes. The machine offers adjustable sanding rolls as well where rough sanding takes place with first drum immediately followed by finish sanding on the second for flawless finish. One drum has never been used as I run only 120 finish paper on one as it produces a perfect surface. This machine is very well built with over 3" ... moreprecision machined posts that have cast pillars that house bushing that ensure precision alignment and easy raising and lowering of conveyor platen. Purchased new from brand owner Hamilton Tool in Beaver Falls. PA where they have sold over 1,000 of these machines and maintain an excellent inventory of parts and can provide support of your needs.
