Fujikura FSM-30S Arc Fusion splicer Intermitent Working Parts or Repair
You are looking at a Fujikura FSM-30S Arc Fusion Splicer With Case. Cleaver, and misc odds and ends. We have used this for a about 2 years and have upgraded to a new unit. Great for our first splicer we ever bought. Now it sometimes has problems with the y overrun and dirty fiber or bad cleave. We havent had any service on the machine since we have had it. It does work and has a picture of a burn that I did so you could see it work. Typically when it works it takes about 1 of every 7 tries it will burn. When it burns typical loss is 0.0 to.07 db unless a bubble or bad cleave which can happen. This is a core fusion splicer and with that accuracy db loss is low. There is no return on the item as you can use it as is or use it for parts. The Pads are also worn out on the unit. It needs TLC but it will burn just not consistent enough for our ... morecrew.
