I was told that this unit came off of a Powermatic 90 wood lathe built in the 60's or 70's. But I cannot verify what it actually fits. The diameter is 6 1/4" and it has a 5/8" roller bearing on the back. It also has a 5/8" hole in the edge, which I assume is for the handle. I was told that this 1/2 pulley came off of a Powermatic 90 wood lathe from the 60's or 70's. But I cannot verify that information. It is 6 1/4" in diameter, with a 1 1/8" shaft. Vintage Delta Wood ?? or Metal ?? Lathe Sanding Sander Attachment L-38 & L-39
Here's a Early Vintage Delta Wood or Metal Lathe(not sure which or maybe fits both? Sanding Sander Tilting Table Attachment in good used shape. The castings are stamped Delta and L-38 and L-39. There was no bed clamp or mounting bolt that came with this so none is sold with it. Appears to fit a lathe bed with a 1/2" opening in between the bed rails. This was used on a homemade sanding unit and they were using a 9" cast iron disc but I'm not sure if that was the correct original size for the table attachment. I see no damage and it looks to be in fine order. Please look at the pictures as they are part of the description also.

Complete Bed for a Delta Rockwell model 46-450 Wood Lathe. Although I am not sure of the other model numbers I believe other Delta or Rockwell lathes used the same bed. The part number for the bed assembly is CWL-21-S. Includes the base that the headstock sits on as well as the slotted bed that supports the tool rest and tailstock. These two pieces are both shown in the photos and actually bolt together. Hardware to bolt the two bed pieces together as well as the bolts used to fasten the lathe to a stand are included. ANTIQUE CAST IRON 6" INDUSTRIAL INSTRUMENT METAL LATHE METALWORKING WOOD BENCH
Antique Working 6" by 22" heavy cast iron metal lathe that can and was being used for woodworking. The cast iron is 3/4" in the thickest area and is very heavy. This lathe has the chamfered bed and shows that this is a metal lathe. The headstock and tailstock lock down against the chamfers to get precision alignment. These lathes are called instrument lathes. Attached is a picture of a bench speed lathe from the 1907 Fairbanks catalog which. While not quite identical, is very similar to this one. As you can see it was sold with Just the countershaft and faceplate so the lathe is not really missing The cross slide/compound. A cross slide wood was a useful accessory that would make your lathe more useful. When they were originally made these lathes were very useful in factories for follow up operations on parts that didn't ... moreneed the functions of more expensive engine lathes. This Lathe dates from 1890 to 1910 The company Century made the motor with cast iron engine case caps as shown and they started in 1910. I found a much longer 2" leather belt with this lathe that was 104" total length and was probably the original belt from the factory. Long belt not included. There is a belt on the lathe now that is much shorter and is 1 5/8" wide and is included. The Lathe is working and an older gentleman that has passed on was using it as a wood lathe but is a metal lathe. He put the pulleys on backwards no big deal. The pulley bearings spin perfect no noise Looks like it was well Taken care of. Measurements 6" from center of the spindle above the top of the bed and 22" long maximum distance between centers. Bed is 44" total length, The opening in the center of the lathe is 1 3/8" tool rest is 7" Top of bed is 5 3/8" wide and the feet have a nice 19th century look and measure 7 5/8" wide at bottom and taper to 5 1/2" wide at top of feet. 12.00 This tailstock came from a 1933 Atlas lathe. Owner wanted to upgrade to a 10” tapered roller bearing lathe so the head stock and tailstock(matched set) are orphans now. The headstock and drive are listed separately. The ram is an MT2 taper. In excellent condition with a clean keyway, good threads, and a good thrust screw(virtually no wear. Hand wheel is also in good condition. Alas the clamp is not original. Is a welded affair but works. The entire tailstock was cleaned using electrolysis and the metal is all bare except for an oil spray to keep it from flash rusting. A good solvent wipe down(naptha) and it is ready for paint. I picked up an entire lathe at a garage sale in our neighborhood from a nice older guy who claimed that he inherited this in the early 1970's and never used it. It makes sense. He had a huge barn/shop and was certainly comfortable around tools, but it was clear that his focus was old cars. But I guess that forty years of storing this had finally taken its toll and he was ready to free up some space. I will be listing the entire thing over the next few days. This also was found in a drawer in another part of the shop-so it was not with the lathe directly. More than that. It is painted in some goofy color that does not look Delta to me-and I can find no numbers anywhere. On the other hand, it is old and it is heavily cast-and it great condition whatever it is.
