Has electric variable speed power cross and carriage feed, infinitely adjustable spindle speed(high and low) Inch and metric threading without changing gears, Qick collet closer coolant pump, inch and metric dials, quick change tool post, partial set of 5C collets. Chevalier CNC Toolroom Lathe with Auto Collet Chuck and Turret
Lightly used(Previous original owner claimed 6 months. 1 shift) I used it for 2 years, about 8 hours per week, always using oil for cutting(no rust) Chevalier is a Taiwanese made machine. Approx 6500 pounds. Very heavy built, straight true, better than current Chinese 3500 pounds lathes. Control systems is a PC-based Anilam(still made) Very nice conversational interface and it pretty much adheres to Fanuc G-codes(minimizes POST issues from your CAM system) CNC controlled 3 geared headstock allows for very good range of speed for virtually any application. In addition to gears(31 to 3100 RPM) The motor(10 HP 3 phase) is CNC controlled for accurate speeds. Although this lathe does not have fixed tapping cycles[it does include Thread cycles] I have used a tap in flexible holder with no problem. This is a rather unique tool room lathe in that ... moreit also has a: CNC controlled turret(Dorian Smartdex 20. 8 position) VCMT tools are included] as are boring bar holders and stick holders. Tree cnc toolroom lathe
I purchased this machine 5 years ago to use in my home shop. It has been a great machine but is becomming tempermental. The mechanicals are great and will hold.0002 all day long. Unfortunatly I don't use it much anymore and has become troublesome when I try and use it and I have to end up reseating boards in order to run. It has a 8 position turret and it uses c-16 collets. I have many tool blocks and collets. I also have parts from a second lathe wiich is bassicly an entire machine accept the frame. I have ballscrews. Motors, turret, spindle housiing, electronics you name it I have it. Looking to get what its worth in weight. I hate to scrap it out becouse mechanically its awsome. It would be a great candidate for a mach 3 system.

Nice Weiler Matador German Toolroom Lathe & Attachments
Nice Weiler Matador German toolroom lathe. It runs well and has a great specification! First. It turns inch, metric and diametric pitch threads. Second, the dials are marked in inches and it has a threading indicator! It comes with a superb steady rest and a follower rest as well as a chuck and drive plate. There is also a box of change gears to go with it. There is an integral collet closer in the headstock. The swing is 10" to 10.5" The spindle hole is a bit under 1 1/8" The distance between centers is about 22" and maybe 24" if you overhang the tailstock about an inch. checked and the gears in the headstock are in excellent condition. It runs smoothly though there is at the top speeds a small bit of noise from the intermediate speed selection gearbox between the headstock and motor. I think that is reasonably for ... moregears running at high speed and it does not seem to affect performance at all. Top speed is 3550 rpm and bottom speed is really slow for easy threading. It has a lot of speeds though I did not count how many. The ways are in really nice condition and are hardened. The lead screw is also in excellent condition. Another good thing is that the cross slide screws have ball thrust bearings. The brass nuts have anti-backlash adjustment and new ones show up on ebay in Germany all the time for little money. Also. The threading chart is quite readable and all charts and tags are still available from Weiler as are other parts. The motor was making noise but it turned to to be a loose fan and that has been professionally replaced and now it runs quiet and smooth. A nice lathe with an unusually good specification! I have seven lathes and two are Weilers. I need to pare down a bit. this is a three phase machine but the motor is about 1 hp so you could put a single phase motor on it easily if desired.
