RARE! These are not easy to find tools that were also made by the Royal company. Neither company still mfg's this tool. So if you are looking for one now is the time to buy. Bowers taper attachment used to offset the tailstock on a lathe with a MT3 mount. This way you do not have the hassle of re-aligning your tailstock. Has level for repeatability. Has lock for after setting offset. Live center tip with ball nose as a pointed tip would not hold correctly on taper. Micrometer adjustment. Hate to let this go but do not have a lathe that it fits at the moment. Ships insured with signature confirmation(eBay policy) hence the extra shipping cost.

This is a nice radius cutter with the handle that came from the estate of a retired toolmaker. He took very good care of his tools and this shows that. He used this on a 12" Clausing lathe. I believe it is now mfg under Eagle Rock called a Shaplane Radius Tool. For use with a lathe having a swing of 9 to 13" Model#A1-248-05. Retail at $300. Should be able to put a bit protruding out of it in either direction. This type of radius cutter fits in the toolpost just like normal toolholders so your setup time is reduced over having to change out the toolpost models. Boring Bar Tool post Metal Lathe Machinist Southbend Atlas Craftsman Clausing Lo
Nice boring bar toolpost with holes for 3/16"1/4" 5/16" 3/8"bars. Comes with 1 boring bar as you see in pictures. Previous owner was a retired toolmaker with a Southbend lathe and a Clausing lathe. I am not sure which lathe this came off of but like any toolpost you will purchase there is a chance you will have to modify or remake the plate to fit you carriage. It is not a very big piece of metal to make and can be done with a file by even a novice so please do not ask me to measure this one to see if you can just put it in your lathe. South Bend Southbend Gear Head Metal Lathe G-26T
Here is a great working south bend metal lathe. This machine has low hours. Bought new in 1998. It has been in back of a shop for years with a bad reversing contactor. Both contactors have been upgraded to Siemens with a new belt& oil change. This machine is currently under power for 240 3 phase. It can be easily be changed to 480v by rolling the leads. Comes with with 3& 4 jaw chucks. Stands, leveling pads, steady rest& follower. I added the extension to the headstock, spider, that accepts 4 3/8 fine thread bolts to keep longer pieces running true. The digital display,Acu-rite, comes on but displays reads"power has been off-press clear" but it doesn't. It did work very well at one time. The cross feed lever seeps a little oil, just enough to mention. Other than that this machine is smooth. I measured the lathe to ... morebe 12x36. 6 jaw chuck& tooling not included. I owned this lathe several years ago. Found the steady rest and a few other pieces in a box. Don't need it anymore. It was definitely off a southbend as you can see in the pictures. I believe it to be a 9 inch lathe but not for sure. it measures roughly 4-5/8 from the flat way contact up to the parting line where the rest opens up. Good condition. All original even the way clamp on the bottom is still in good shape. Please ask any and all questions before you bid. I want a transaction that ends in positive feedback. southbend lathe 13" 6' bed
hello all. I have a Southbend lathe for sale. SouthBend CL145c 13" swing, 6' bed. the lathe is powered up via 3 phase and works great, quietly and with no issues. you can hear it run if you like. the lathe comes with the mounted 3 jaw, some tolling holders and a drill chuck, an asortment of collets, but the collet shaft isn't correct. there is no wear on the bed pathway near the head stock. everything is smooth and level and looks great. i really think its a mistake to sell this lathe, but am going to offer it anyway. the only issue is the electrical box doesn't have the cover. other than that the lathe is in great, working condition. thanks. This is a nice used R-S-B marked 5c collet size 1/16. The inside bore is in good shape. The keyway and threads are also in good shape. My understanding is that south bend marked their high precision collets with RSB back some time ago. I am listing a large amount of collets. So be sure to check out my other items.
