Product Description Sartorius mechanical balance type 2254 This balance has a max capacity of 1000g. There's a knob on one side for setting hundreds of grams. A backlit display in the middle, and a knob on the other side for setting tenths and hundredths of grams. There's also a tare knob and a smaller knob of unknown function. The hundreds adjustment knob's plastic cover is cracked and the knob is loose as a result, but it's still somewhat usable and in any event looks like it could be easily replaced. The unit takes 110V wall current from a standard power cord but a power cord is not included. The shipping lock has been engaged. How the unit was tested: When the unit was first plugged in it lit up and appeared functional. But within a few seconds the light went out again.
