This is a nice looking vintage scale made in Germany. Its very clean for its age! I have no clue if this thing works or not. unit came from Texas A&M University. I did take many pics of the inside of the unit so you can view its contents. I did plug it in and when the ob-longed knob on either side of the unit is turned there is a light that comes on inside the unit and is transmitted to the front screen via mirrors from the back and the focus is adjusted by the little silver knob inside the doors on the back wall. All the knobs turn great and move things around inside. All the feet are there and adjust as they should. Glass is in great shape and not broke or scratched. It still has the original power cord on it that does have some cracks in the outer shell insulation near plug end(last picture)The only thing that I can see that might ... morebe missing is whatever holds/hooks the weighing apparatus at the top(see picture#11) other than that it looks like everything is there( but I can not guarantee that to be a fact.
