Vintage Denon DRA-400 Precision Audio Component/ Tuner Amp
This listing offers a Denon DRA-400 Precision Audio Component/ Tuner Amp. I know almost nothing about audio components- amp. Pre-amp, or any other nomenclature. I won this unit at auction along with several other components. This is a little big for my place and style of listening to music. But perhaps it will fit someones needs. My extent of testing this Denon DRA-400 was hooking up a few small speakers. Plugging it in, turning it on and tuning in a local station. The unit powered up fine, the station was received, and the speakers spoke. I tried the balance. Treble, and bass controls and all was well. Volume control fine too. After several minutes I went to adjust volume and got some crackling and incorrect adjustment until the adjustment settled in- if that makes sense. My brother is a stereophile. And used to tell me when stuff like that ... morehappens there are some easy fixes, but I would rather leave that to another. So I offer this unit as for parts or repair. My guess it's an easy fix. But perhaps I'm being optimistic. So before you bid understand this may be a real find or may be out of your league also. Besides a few normal wear scratches. Some discoloration on the antenna, the only other defect I know of is that the door in front won't stay closed. Please view the pictures well to decide for yourself. I will offer returns for 14 days to the buyer. But since I've represented this as a part or repair unit, I can't refund postage in either direction. But if you pay $80.00 and want to get back that much and swallow the postage, I'll take it back. Feel free to ask questions. Thanks for looking!

For Sale: Vintage 1977 Fender Precision Bass w/ Original Case. Great looking. Sounding, and playing bass. A bit of a rare bird, almost everything about this bass was a custom order back in 77- black was a custom finish, rosewood boards were a custom order(most are maple boards from this era) and the tapered neck were all custom order. This guy plays very nice, and looks incredible. It's in fantastic condition for even a modern bass(there's lots of light reflections in the pics- the finish is not worn away or damaged- just some minor, surface only buckle rash) but I think it might even sounds better than it looks. Owned for many years by a Boston Session player. Nitrocellulose Sunburst finish. Slab Rosewood fingerboard& C profile neck. Changed nut but otherwise all original. This bass plays and sounds awesome. The tone is rich. Warm and round which you can only get from these early Fenders. The body shows plenty of bumps& play wear around the butt end, a large area of buckle rash on the back& a few nicks and dings but nothing major. The front of the body is very clean. The neck has seen plenty of action and therefore a lot of the finish has worn away allowing for very smooth movement. ... moreThis can all be seen in the pics. The frets are clean with no pitting as the bass has always had flats on it. I think this bass must have had flatwounds on for most if not all of its life. All hardware& electronics work with no issues including the truss rod. The headstock is clean. The pickguard has no cracks. This bass has been very well looked after. Set up nice and low with a great action by my technician. The pots date the 23rd week of 1961. The neck dates November 1961& the body October 1961. All round fantastic bass. Fender Precision Bass P-Bass Maple Neck - 1975 1976 Vintage Original PROJECT
1975 1976 Fender Precision Maple Bass Neck. The serial number from the neck plate(not included) is 6236xx. Which dates it to 1975/ 1976. This is an original vintage Fender P-Bass maple neck with lots of mojo. No cracks or repairs. The tuners and string tree look old, but are not original to this neck. Under the tuners, you can see the original tuner mounting screw holes. Now the bad news: Without string tension, the neck appears to be fairly straight, but with string tension there is a forward bow, making the action super high. The truss rod works, but even with the truss rod tight, there is still a forward bow. I thought about a few fixes; one option is to have the neck re fretted and have the fingerboard planed flat during the fretting process. The other option is to send the neck to someone who does heat pressing- they say they fix issues ... morelike this all the time. I'll let the photos show the condition of the finish, which is missing from most of the fingerboard and worn on the edges of the neck(mainly the bottom side) The frets are worn(good candidate for a fret job) The nut appears to be original. Overall this is a rough neck, but a worthy project for someone willing to put work into it. Because of the issues I've described, I need to sell this as is, as a project in need of repair. Owned for many years by a Boston Session player. Rare custom colour Lake Placid Blue Nitrocellulose finish. Rosewood fingerboard& C profile neck. All original other than some touched up solder. This bass plays and sounds awesome. The tone is rich. Warm and round which you can only get from these early Fenders. The body shows plenty of play wear, some buckle rash on the back& a few nicks and dings but nothing major. The neck is very smooth with a lot of the finish having worn off with play wear. This can all be seen in the pics. The frets have minimal play wear. ... moreAll hardware& electronics work with no issues including the truss rod. The headstock is clean.
