Selling is a vintage W. M. Welch Scientific Company 200 Gram double beam cast iron balance scales. This balance has a 0 to 10 Gram beam and a 0 to 200 Gram(10Grm increments) beam. Both are required to make measurements above 11 Grams. For measurements of less than 10 Grams. The single beam may be used but the 200 Grm Beam weight has to be in its full left position(when viewed from the front) Weights are moved along the beams until the balance indicator points to a center mark on the balance scale and then the weight is read directly off where the weights ended up. A fine adjustment wheel sits right below the balance scale to fine adjust the balance point when all weights have been removed off the platforms and the slide weights returned to their zero setting. Vintage Portable Gram mg Balance Scale in Custom Velvet Case w 12 weights
This is a gm mg balance scale with weights and tweezers. The weights included are 100 gm.10 gm, 2- 1gm, 500 mg, 2-200mg, 100 mg, 50 mg. 2-5mg and one I can't make out. I think there are 4 missing weights as there are holes in the box for them. I have no way of checking the accuracy of the scales so you are buying it as is.
