This scale measures approximately 17 inches wide, 17 inches high and 9 1/2 inches deep. The scale has one drawer. Other than in the back, the case is in excellent shape and has a beautiful patina. The back of the scale at the very bottom has some damage(see photographs) I could have easily repaired this damage, however, I wanted the buyer to see the exact condition of the case. On the left side of the case, on the bottom the veneer is slightly lose and needs to be re-glued. The case is structurely sound and otherwise in excellent condition. The repair would be a minor one. It hangs from a loop to allow you to put weights in one side of the scale and put whatever into the other side. I think the two"cups" are celluloid but Im not sure. This item is in very good condition and comes in its original box as shown. Box is good but the lid has one broken corner. Nice. Very vintage scale for laboratory use, according to the box. Vintage Chatillon Butcher Shop Meat Scale- Balance Scale For auction we have a Chatillon. Type 205 meat scale, 600 lb. capacity. It measures 26 1/2" long from the wall bracket to the end of the scale. The wall bracket measures 20 1/2" and the balance scale hangs about 13" below the bottom of the bracket. I believe it is completely intact and functional but it was not tested. It is a bit dusty and could use a good cleaning. Condition is as you see in the photos. This great old scale was in my Dad's butcher shop up until the day he retired in 1979. I remember as a child. The beef being delivered and weighed on this scale. As you can see from the photos, the last Dept. of Consumer Protection seal is dated 1977. The store in Yonkers, New York was owned by our family for decades. Antique Iron Scale with Warsaw's Mermaids 1925 antique scale made of a solid cast iron. With two brass pans. This is a 5 kilo scale with S.R. and 5.Kg markings on both sides of the scale. The decorative piece is adorned with four Warsaw's Mermaids(Syrenka Warszawska) The Warsaw Mermaid has been Warsaw's Coat-of-Arms since the 15th century. No weights included. Good antique condition- sings of age and rust. The two brass pans have tiny cracks on the outside rim. It is a fully functional scale but due to its rarity. It is recommended for display only. It's in excellent condition for a piece that's almost 100 years of age. The balance case is in great shape and the windows are not broken or cracked. The entire balance is pretty sound. All the parts are original to the balance including the surrounding cabinet glass. The front glass panel lifts up and has latches so it will stay open, the rear panel is removable. When plugged in the scale started humming. But the display never turned on. The sound was fairly audible and smooth, but there was no way I could test the scale. All buttons are in good condition and have good tactile response. When testing, the closest power cable I could find had a 16V 1.5Amp output, but the device only requires a 15V and 800mA output.
