They had several of these in all with minor problems, and I bought this on the understanding that it the power indicator wasn't lighting up, but heated up on testing and seemed otherwise to be fine. To cut a long story short. The first time I went to use it was about 3 months after the purchase date. Plugged it in. Switched it on, and immediately tripped the mains circuit. Unfortunately. I had to source a replacement oven immediately as it was needed. I have no real knowledge of electronics. But I come across the occasional electrical problem I feel comfortable having a go at. Not this. Anything drawing mains power needs to be treated with the upmost respect. Anything that trips a mains ... morecircuit breaker is potentially lethally dangerous. I'm stating this for any amateurs who think they know better. Trust me, you don't. A dose of UK Mains voltage is perfectly capable of killing you instantly. I can't stress this enough. Anyway. Whatever the fault, I never chased up the company- in fact I've dealt with them since then but not mentioned it. Too long had gone by, and it just seemed an unlikely scenario. I wouldn't have taken myself seriously in their shoes, not after three months. As a matter of course I'll be removing the plug and affixing warnings to the power cable and the oven itself before sending. Or allowing to be picked up. Despatch Drying Oven Up for auction is a used Despatch Drying Oven. Model LEB 1-28. This unit is in good physical condition with only minor scuffs and scratches due to normal wear. All the labeling is still clear and legible. Please refer to the for more details on the condition of the item. When we tested this unit it powered on without any problems. We were able to adjust the temperature and the unit heated. Stayed constant, or turned the element off depending on where we set it. It should be noted though that although the unit did heat up. The internal temperature did not match what the units knob had been set for. We had initially set the unit for about 150 Celsius, however when checked with an IR thermometer it was actually about half that.
