Vintage Tabletop Wood Brass Glass Warming? Cabinet Medical / Lab / Display
Up for auction is a vintage tabletop cabinet with four brass ball feet. Wood sides and top, brass trim and top handle, glass shelves and doors, and a metal removable tray with holes on the bottom. I was told it was a oriental warming cabinet but I don't know anything more about it and don't know how it would have worked. It might have been a medical or lab device but I just don't know for sure- it certainly would work great as a display cabinet. The base is bent slightly upward but it looks like it wouldn't take too much to get it realigned. The glass on the inside of one of the doors is cut a little rough around the hardware so it might have been replaced; this is not seen from the outside. The metal piece with the holes can be covered with cloth or replaced with a piece of wood if used as a display cabinet. The doors are ... moreopened by pulling up the brass center bar; the key is missing so the cabinet can't be locked. It has a brass handle on the top that can be folded down and also stands upright.
