Antiquarian miniature, making for a wonderful dollhouse accent, small for the bathroom knick-knack shelf or interesting display item for the antique science and medicine collection. Offered here is an original(circa 1920) miniature stoneware chamber pot, showing a shiny gold interior and gilded FANNY PHYSICIAN namesake across the front of the pot. I do not know the exact history behind the miniature chamber pot; having procured the keepsake this past Summer at a New England estate where the majority of items dated anywhere between 1880-1940. The miniature shows no maker's marks. A stout little pot with nice shiny glazing, measuring 1" height x 1 1/4" diameter at the rim. The Fanny Physician has a great handle as well. Victorian hallmarked silver Chamber/Taper Stick This beautiful. Small candle holder is made of sterling silver with an oblong holder set on a circular plate with roped decoration around the edge. The circular handle is decorated with beading. This would either have been used to hold a taper or, as shown in the photos, more probably as a desk sealing wax holder. The hallmarks are rubbed but it is still possible to see the lion passant, the assay mark for Chester and the date letter for 1901. Unfortunately, the maker’s mark is no longer discernible. This piece is in very good condition with only one pin head dint to the plate. The seam at the front of the holder overlaps slightly at the top although it is rigidly in place. This auction is for a Lovely Antique White Ironstone Chamber Pot and Lid made by Johnson Brother. Late Pankhurst& Co. of England circa 1883. It is in Remarkable Condition. Especially for its age. The pot and the matching lid have 12 sides. There are no chips or cracks or repairs or damage- Not Even Crazing. It's that nice. It is extremely hard to find Chamber Pots in this gre at shape especially con sidering wh a t t hey were used for. There is a small glaze bubble at the base of t he lid handle that was from the firing process(see last photo) It adds character and authenticity to the piece. The chamber pot has the Johnson Bros. Late Pankhurst& Co. Royal Coat of Arms black backstamp. The piece dates to 1883 when Johnson Bros. was taking over the backrupt Pankhurst Co. With the lid on. Here is a gorgous Antique Chamber set~ Pale yelow porcelain with orange sherbert and greens floral motiff~Very ornate pitcher with rasied designs~Gold trim on all pieces have wear~All pieces have crazing. Picher measures 11 inches tall ~ Measures 12 inches from handle to spout~Handle is very ornate and has a"Y" shaped~One side of pitcher has a seam(see photo 7) the other side under handle has a fairly straight line crack~also underneath tbottom here is a small"X" crack~That one seems to be on outside only(see photo 11) Hard to see but its is there.~ Vase or toothbrush holder stands 5 inches tall with flaired opening at top~ This piece has a chip on bottom edge(see photo 9) then underneath bottom has a sliver chip(see photo 10) Soap holder is 3 pieces bottom. Antique Homer Laughlin Slop Pail / Chamber Pot Eagle Lion Mark Vase Bridal Bowl
This Homer Laughlin piece is in astonishing condition considering it dates back to 1890. From what I have found from searches it was made between 1890 and 1900 according to the makers mark. I cannot find any other Laughlin Slop Pails anywhere. Except for the shapes chart. The makers mark has the Eagle on the Lion and PAT APPLIED FOR. The piece itself has alot of crazing but has no dings or dents. It's in fantastic condition. Please click on the photos for a larger picture and closer view. Could be used as a vase too. It is pretty large. Measures 11 3/4 inches tall. 13 1/2 inches wide from handle tip to handle tip. Top opening is 9 inches and the base is 7 inches wide.
