Our guess is that the shaker problem is a result of the transistor failure. The circuit traces on the PCB do not appear damaged. We did not attempt an electronics repair. You are bidding on a Thermo Electron Corporation O3 primary standard calibrator. Model 49C. My knowledge in testing this type of equipment is limited, so this calibrator will be sold as is. However, it did successfully power on and run through the self test as shown. I could also hear what sounds like a pump running inside. Cosmetically, the unit is in overall good condition with only minor marks as expected from normal use. Power cord is not included, but it takes a standard 3-prong one.
