Up for bid is this neat pair of tall twisted stirring spoons. Each feature an ornate design on the end of the handle. Topped with the ancient symbol of the star and crescent moon(Turkish? They are stamped 800 on the handle before the twisting. Both spoons show minor wear but are in nice condition overall. They measure 11 1/2 inches tall and weigh in at 98 grams. A search of the Internet yielded similar designs with differing opinions as to what they actually are. What a fun addition to any home bar! These are vintage(1960's- 1970's) 24K gold plated barbed wire swizzle stix. The wire used in these were used during the late 1800's to early 1900's. Packaged in a round cardboard carrying case. These swizzle stix are a part of the old west. It looks like there are two separate round cardboard carrying cases, but they do fit together, if they are not supposed to fit together, then we do not have the lids to the cardboard cases. On the cardboard there is a little bit of history, on one it tells you how the stix were made on a ranch and on the other a short history of barbed wire. There is a total of 11 stix.
