Showing some minor signs of wear. It powers up, and the digital display is bright and clear, and it recirculates, heats and chills water successfully. The set point is adjustable from-15.0°C to +50.0°C. It heats up to 50.0°C just fine, but it does not seem to want to cool below about 2.0°C. If the temperature gets below about 2.0°C, then its stops cooling, and"Pump Failure" comes on the display. It always comes back to life after you let it warm up a bit, and turn it off and back on again. I let it run for a couple hours at 3.0 and 2.5°C, and it ran fine without ... moreany problems. I even got it down to 1.8°C without a pump failure, but I had to adjust the temperature slowly. It you let it cool down from room temperature, it always goes a few tenths of a degree below the set point before stabilizing at the set point, so if you set it to 2.0°C right from the start, then it will cool below 2.0°C, and cause a pump failure. So it is best to set it for 3.5 or 4.0°C, and then after it stabilizes at that temperture, adjust it slowly down by 2 or 5 degrees at a time until you reach your desired temperature. There are several scuff marks and scratches on the item but this does not effect the functionality of the item. The function buttons are in good condition. Please see pictures for more details. I think that there is something wrong with the digital display. As I cannot get any numbers to appear on it at all. Only a decimal point illuminates. I got it to circulate and heat up just fine, but I think that it might be out of refrigerant, because it did not seem to chill at all. I think that this could be a good unit at a great price, you'll just need to fill the refrigerant and maybe tinker with the display, to see why no numbers will illuminate. I am selling it AS IS. The unit has seen a lot of previous use in lab conditions and came from a working environment. There are multiple surface scratches/scrapes on the housing(some shown in pictures) as well as some sticker residue but there doesn't appear to be any major damage. The waterbath and piping could likely use a thorough cleaning. The lid to the bath is also missing and we have no way of replacing it. We have tested this unit and it is in good working condition. I hooked another chiller up to its facility water loop, and I was able to get the Laude to chill water, but I think the water temp is dependent on the temperature of the water running thru the facility water loop. When I had my other chilling recirculating water at 2.0°C, the Lauda water temp got down to 3.4°C, but when I increased the temperature in my chiller, the Lauda water temperature increased as well.
