I filled it with water, and powered it up, and it recirculates, and heats the water without a problem(I let it heat up to 60°C) The cooling compressor seems like it might be having some issues though. When I first powered the chiller up, I reduced the set point to 1.0°C, and it did start cooling down, but after it cooled down a couple degrees(it went from 24.8°C to 22.9°C) something happened, and it stopped cooling, and the compressor made a click sound every few seconds. This unit runs smoothly and quietly. After a few minutes with the dial set to a cold setting I could feel that the tubing was cold. I then turned the dial until the"Heat" light went on and after a few minutes the tubing never felt to be any hotter than about room temperature. The"Cold" light flickers when set to colder settings and the"Hot" light ... morecomes on bright when set to hotter settings. There are a few clips missing that hold the screws that tighten the cover on and so the cover is not really on very securely at this time. It only comes with what is shown in the pictures.
