Barnstead PMC 525C-2 5 place Hot Plate & Magnetic Stirrer Parts/Repair
This is lab surplus. And untested. The only problems I am aware of are two knobs that are broken. But can still be easily turned(see photos) and a cosmetic scrape above the left adjustment knob. Other than that, the heater/stirrer is in very clean cosmetic condition. The photos include the part number of the switch with the broken shaft. I see that replacements are available for under $20 online. Installing a new switch is simple. As the connectors are the slip-on type, and the switch is held to the chassis with a single hex nut.

SELLING AN OLD GYRATHERM THIS IS SOLD AS IS. WILL NEED REPAIRS AND A GOOD CLEANING THE STIRRING FUNCTION WORKS I PUT A CUP OF WATER ON IT WITH A PAPER CLIP IN IT TO TEST IT. THE HEATING FUNCTION WOULDN'T WORK BUT IT SPUN THE PAPERCLIP IN THE CUP THE CORD IS FRAYED A LITTLE WHERE IT GOES IN THE MACHINE THE PAINT IS WORN AND IS CHIPPING IN THE FRONT THE TOP IS STAINED AND NEEDS CLEANED UMBER THE TOP LOOKS VERY DIRTY BUT I COULDNT GET IN THERE TO CLEAN THIS NEEDS TO BE REPAIRED BEFORE YOU CAN USE IN. MADE BY VWR SCIENTIFIC INC.
