Up for auction is a Taylor-Wharton LS750 liquid nitrogen dewar which has seen very little use. This dewar holds up to 35 L of LN and comes with six racks. With spaces for five drawers/boxes per rack. This dewar is in excellent condition and even has the user manual and tags still attached. It was used once for a period of about six weeks to hold sterile samples. No dings or dents and only a few surface scratches from storage. The lid is intact and has no cracks or splits in the styrofoam. I recently tested the dewar and it holds LN very well and was within expected evaporation rates of about.27 L per day. Overall height is about 26.5 inches and diameter of a little under 19 inches. This item is essentially identical in terms of shape, size, and design to the Pope Scientific No. 8621 dewar flask. The"Thermos" and"Pyrex" brand markings have faded and are barely visible. There are six spots around the flask, each measuring about 1cm square, where the internal shiny metal coating seems to be worn away or something. I'm not sure how to explain this, they're on the inside of the hollow vacuum area, such that when I rub my finger on them, they cannot be felt at all. One of the spots can be seen in the picture, next to ... morethe Pyrex brand marking. These spots to not seem to effect the integrity or functionality of the flask in any way. The rubber coating on the bottom of the glass does not cover it all the way. I don't know if it peeled off at some point, or if it was just made that way.
