Antique vintage mid-century Roto-Beam electric fan, air circulator, 12LS111.
This is an antique Roto-Beam electric fan or air circulator as they are called. Dated to probably around the late 40's, made by the Climax Engineering company of Clinton, Iowa. This fan boasts 360 degrees of air direction, a heavy cast iron base and a 12" reverse-spin, cast aluminum blade that was known for its quiet operation and the beam of air blasting out from the center. As you can hopefully see in the pictures, the cage has some general bumps and bruises and there is a small piece of it missing on the back. In the photos you will also see a small chip out of the cast iron base. The cord has been replaced as well but this fan runs great and keeps drawing your eye to its unique beauty. Very Nice Patton U2-20 High Velocity Air Circulator/Floor Fan
Up for your consideration is a Patton U2-20 High Velocity Air Circulator. These fans were made in the mid-late 90's. They were very sturdy. Well made fans that typically had a McMillan or New Haven motor(Both of which were USA made) Later ones featured a chinese made GE motor. The fan that is offered today has a unique story. It was in pretty rough shape. With the original New Haven motor near its end with caked dust and severely worn bearings, so here's what I did. Patton chromed the guards on their fans. And while they looked nice, they often pitted and rusted out. The original pitted/rusted chrome finish was fully stripped and powdercoated in a metallic grey finish, then clearcoated for added strength and protection against rust. The New Haven motor was swapped out for a New Old Stock McMillan motor(The same type of motor as seen ... morein another listing) This is a very powerful. 2.6 amp 3 speed permanent split capacitor motor, with a drilled rotor for venting and dual oil ports. All rubber feet were replaced to protect the fan stand from scratches and motor drone(which can transfer quite easily on a hard floor) There are two things I want to note about this fan. The badge has some wear. And the cord has a few rough spots near the end that don't look so"nice" where a certain dog decided to chew. I can repair it, or put on a replacement plug. I'll leave it up to the buyer. I guarantee the motor on this fan for 1 year from purchase date. If for any reason this fan motor fails. I will diagnose or replace it, free of charge. I did this work to the fan because I'm especially fond of what this company was. It's a quality made American product that you can't find and won't likely see again. 15-42 Grundfos Circulator with Watts flow check valve
As you can see in the pictures the circulator pump and the Watts flow check valve have some corrosion on them. I believe the system that i took them off of was probably around 10 to 15 years old i am guessing. Everything worked just fine when i took out the heating system about 2 weeks ago. It just needs to be cleaned and thats about it. As you can see i just cut the copper off above the flow check valve and below the circulator pump. A good deal for the money and it could still get plenty more years out of it. RETURNS: Returns will be accepted on this item.
