This auction is for 7 miniature cast iron pot. Frypan, lid and 2 ash buckets with a shovel. This lot includes 2 ash buckets with 1 shovel and a soup pot, a sauce pan with lid and a fry pan. They are all cast iron and all of them measure up to 1 1/4" high and there are no makers marks that I can see. They are all in excellent condition with very little oxidation or other problems to mention. An excellent lot of vintage collectible cast iron miniatures! This vintage minnow bucket actually floats and sports, in blue graphics, an eagle with outstretched wings. Graphics are the same on both sides of bucket. Bucket is a Fenwick Woodstream that hails from Canada- Niagara Falls, Ontario. There are two buckets, one inside the other, and the inner bucket can be removed. This inner bucket has a Styrofoam lining in the upper part that makes it"float" in the water. Both buckets have handles. Persian Coal Box 1857 antique brass white glass handle scuttle hod bucket pail
This auction is for a very attractive antique brass coal scuttle. It's a nice size and has a nice patina. It would be great for re-use as a coal scuttle. Tinder box, or planter. It carries a 1 1/2" diameter round plate on the base embossed with"The Persian Coal Box Registered" A bit of poking about on the internet shows The Persian Coal Box has a British patent from 1857. The coal box stands about 15 3/4" in overall height. It's somewhere around 19" in overall length. The main cylinder is about 10 1/4" in diameter. The base is about 8 1/4" in diameter. It has the original white glass handle. It has a visible crack(see photo) But looks unrepaired and solid. It appears that this pail originally had a cover that would have been hinged at the bottom of the cylinder. A remnant of the hinge remains(see ... morephoto) Inside is a small"shelf" for a scoop. This piece shows expected dents. Dings, and blemishes from a century and a half of use. It does not have any major bends, creases, or signs of repair. This Is A Great Circa 1854 Fire Bucket With An Iron Band Across The Top. It Measures 12 Inches Tall. On The Bottom Of The Bucket There Is Print That Says"D. Hayward's Patent 1854 Manufactured By The N Hayward Co Haywardville Stoneham Mass" The Iron Ring On The Top Was Just Used To Make The Bucket Stronger. The Original Handle Is Still Attached On One Side. The Iron Ring Is Still On The Bucket But The Handle Broke Right At The Ring. The Bucket Is In Very Good Condition With No Holes. CONESTOGA WAGON TAR BUCKET---circa 1780-1810--Authentic--from Hershey Museum
From my personal collection of Lancaster and Pennsylvania Dutch items: CONESTOGA WAGON TAR BUCKET. circa 1760 to 1820. This was once part of the famed Hershey Museum collection and on display with a circa 1745 Conestoga Wagon. I assume this tar bucket to be of the same vintage or slightly newer. Authentic. Hollowed-out log and leather construction. I purchased this at the museum auction in 2006. The early wagons were small. Most of Pennsylvania was covered with woods with Indian trails as roads. It was difficult to clear a path for the high and wide wagons. The Conestoga wagon probably began as a farm wagon adapted for use on the rough. Hilly ground in Lancaster County. A cover was added to protect the goods. The bottom was bowed to keep the goods from sliding back and forth as the wagon traveled up and down hills. The wheels were large so ... morethe wagon could pass over streams without getting the goods wet. Large wheels also made it easier to pass over stumps and rocks in the road. A variety of wood was used for construction. Some wood was better for wheels, while another made better sideboards. Cured wood, that had been cut three or four years before, made better wagons. Tar buckets were made of black leather or hollowed-out logs and hung under the rear axle. Tar was used to grease the oak axles. The axles were banded with iron to withstand wear. If they were not properly cared for. Their creaking and groaning would be heard for miles as the wagon approached. To keep the wheels rolling along easily, the wagoner would grease the axles and hubs before beginning the trip and when the wagon rested on a hill to let the horses catch their breath, the wagoner would dip a feather into the tar and insert it in the opening caused by the heavy load pushing the wheels outward on the hub. Selling a gorgeous sterling silver ice bucket/ cooler from my silver collection. It was made by the world famous Tiffany& Company and is properly hallmarked underneath. Made in a very simple yet elegant shape and design with a ornate lid finial. The interior has a built-in. Solid mercury glass interior, made by Thermos. The ice bucket measures about 9.5" tall x 9.5" wide handle to handle. Judging by the lid, this whole bucket was made with very thick gauge silver. The lid alone weighs weighs 221 grams. The whole bucket weighs 1,872 grams or about 4.12 pounds. In superb condition, without damage or repairs. This cooler is vintage, so it does show light signs of wear and use, but only upon close inspection. Antique LARGE Brass Coal Scuttle - ash Bucket - Delft handles - 13" Tall
AUTHENTIC Antique Large Fireside Coal-Kindling Bucket. Beautiful size with two Delft blue-white handles and lions heads on each side of the handle mounts. This one is very good shape. No punctures or leaks and dents noted but it does need polishing and buffing it you want to return it to a lustered shiny state. It is large measuring 13" tall, 16" Base up to tip of the handle, 16" front lip to back handle, 12" wide, 10 1/2" wide top inside. One Delft handle has a very slight chip(1/8" or less) out of the surface white glaze, not noticeable, and does not affect the structural aspects of the handle in any way. You might be able to see this on the highlighted picture# 2 and 3. This bucket is solid and sturdy- handle very secure. This very useful bucket could be filled with pine cones.
