This 25"wide Ramco Belt Sander(serial number 935) has a 15 HP. 3 Phase main motor and a separate 1/2 HP motor to drive the feed belt. Included is a removable platen which can be inserted during the final passes to produce a smoother surface. Belt tracking and tensioning is accomplished with air pressure. I have used this machine in my one man shop for the last decade; it has been very reliable and a real workhorse. PNEUMATIC SANDING DRUM SET 2x8 & 1x3
This is a set of three pneumatic contour sanding drums with a mix of new and used sleeves. The two bigger assemblies are 2x8" and the little guy is a 1x3" The drums have sat around unused for years and may need work. What I can see is the drive stem on one is broken and the brass threads on one of the air valves are buggered up. The air valve still seats and seals just threads a bit harder. The canvas has no tears but is a bit discolored. The rubber drums hold air. These sanding drums are still available along with parts from Supergrit.com. There are two user made aluminum end mounts that need new bearings. There is a set of 5 unused sleeves for the 2x8 drums and 7 used with a little life left. There are two sleeves for the little 1x3. The three round holes drilled in it are tapped. I could see those. And the slot cut in it. As being very useful for jigs. Or guides. There's a'wear edge' Added to the back side, which is now itself somewhat worn. But it's easily replaceable. On the bottom. You can see where several steel blocks have been brazed. These are strongly. But not very neatly. Attached. At first glance. This looks like the repair; of a break. It's not. Though.
