The rotary knob smoothly rotates and the up and down cutting mechanism works well. The cut thickness controls were changed and a variety of setpoints were tried each resulting in the proper incrementing of the servo motor according to the thickness meter. Overall the unit is in good condition but there are some scrapes and scratches on the machine. A new microscope would be needed. And the microscope focusing adjustment needs to stay above the bottom 1/4" of its stroke. We are including a CyroChamber and microscope that were damaged. The cyrochamber has a dent in the side that does not interfere with the cutting motion when mounted. The cyro controller appears to be ok. The blade edge is mostly sharp with one small chip and a small amount of oxidation at a corner. It comes as-is as shown with just the knife and the box as pictured for repair. I bought this at an estate sale. Nobody there knew what it was or what it was used for and neither do I but I'm sure they are not cheap. As you can see in the pics. It works just fine. The handle makes it easy to carry and the cord conviently wraps up on the handle. The cord is also in good condition and not dry rotted or cut anywhere that I can see.
